BIOGRAPHY
Angie Flores is the Best Selling, and multiple Award-Winning Author of Cub's Wish. Born and raised in Hollywood, California, Angie is a wife and working mother of 3 boys, who still found time to make her dream of becoming an author come true. Angie obtained her degree in Human Services / Child Psychology, and has worked with all ages in various capacities: From Special needs children and adults, to casting talent for major Hollywood productions, to being a Human Resource manager for major corporations. Yet, there was always something missing, so she decided to follow in her grandmother’s footstep, who was a children’s book illustrator and an author in the late 1920’s. Her inspiration to start her journey came from the questions and concepts her children would present daily. Angie found her illustrator at the high school her husband taught at. The student stole Angie’s heart with the drawings that grasped the essence of the story. Angie was able to give a student her first break into the children’s book industry, and together brought Cub’s Wish to life. With her family and friends backing her dream, Cub's Wish debut launch landed her at 2,760 of all 11 million+ books on Amazon. The distribution giant sold out of her book the first day of sale, proving that the books message had to be heard. Cub's wish has won several awards for both content and artwork, as well as receiving the honor of being one of the top 7 books that teach kindness to children by ChildrensPublishing.com, a certified “Great Read” from iTunes #1 rated parenting podcast Reading With Your Kids, and has been a consecutive bestselling book at Pipe & Thimble bookstore. Angie was also awarded Top Female Children's Book Author, and one of the Top 50 Writers you Should be reading from The Author's Show. Cub's Wish maintains an Amazon and Barnes & Nobel 5 star rating along with the coveted 5 stars from Reader's Favorite and Author's Talk About It. Daily Angie is working to make this venture a success. Angie’s goal was realized in 2019 with Cub’s Wish landing in 4 Barnes and Noble stores (CA(2), MA, NV), where during the author signings would sell out of stock. Her love of assistance has landed Angie on the board of The Children’s Book Writers of Los Angeles (CBWLA), and on the Board as Secretary for Reading Is Fundamental of Southern California (RIFSoCal). Angie appears at schools, festivals and private groups to share Cub's Wish, and has provided a multitude of virtual readings for schools during the recent pandemic. As of today Angie has published her book in English, Spanish, French, and in Braille, with 3 more languages on the dock.
