BIOGRAPHY
I’m the author and poet of over 33 children’s books such as the Mom's Choice Award winning My Community, my best-selling A Colorful Beginning, and latest release, A Day with the Dragons.

For the past 30 years I've also been writing poetry for a variety of magazines such as Highlights for Children, Ladybug, Fun for Kidz, Cricket, Spider, Babybug, Hello Highlights, and High Five.

I’ve received awards for poetry from several organizations including the SCBWI, and enjoy presenting children’s workshops in libraries and classrooms. I'm the Creative and Publishing Advisor with RedClover Reader, and live in the Northeast.

I write The Book Bug, a monthly column for Story Monsters Ink magazine, and am a contributing writer for several kid lit national magazines. As a full time freelance writer, I enjoy creating children's stories for educational publishers.

I'm always up for arts and crafts, and run the Kids Corner activities in Story Monsters Ink magazine. My favorite days are spent enjoying the warm sun and hiking on the mountain. I'm usually craving beach time in the summer weather and snuggling during wood-stove stoked winter hours.
