This is the true story of my daughter's pet hamster who found a way to escape from his cage outside into the house. During his freedom, he built his own kingdom of food and bedding and stayed hidden until he was accidentally discovered a few weeks later and put back into his cage.By knowing the tricks of opening the cage door, he later escaped again from his cage and changed his hiding place. He lived the happy life of his sweet liberty until he was caught again a few months later.
He got put back, for the second time, into his solitary confinement with a lock at the door that he couldn't open.
It was then that the heartfelt life of Mr. Alex took an unexpected twist and he ended up teaching us a lifelong lesson.
Mr. Alex made us understand how freedom is important and vital for our happiness and survival, especially when we have been kept in captivity but freed once.
