BIOGRAPHY
My name is Dedra L. Stevenson, and I'm a multi-genre author that's written works of young adult fantasy fiction, crime, horror, and most recently, cooking! I also have a children's series coming soon and a play based on one of my novels, Desert Magnolia. In addition to writing, I also produce films and podcasts! My first short documentary, won awards in both directing and producing.

My greatest writing influences include Roald Dahl, Stephen King, Margaret Mitchell, and George R.R. Martin. Basically, I love an author that can suspend reality and make you feel the environment and experience the characters so deeply that you feel you know them personally. I tend to write books with strong female leads, and I try to "teach" something in each work I've produced. It's up to the reader to find out what I'm trying to communicate, and I hope that they have a wonderful time doing just that.
