In my first book, I explore the journey of forgiveness and trust after experiencing the devastating loss of my marriage and the death of my adult son. The incredible anxiety and physical pain I endured made me reflect on the trauma faced by Vietnam War veterans.
BIOGRAPHY George Simons is the author of Timeless Miles: An Untold Slice of History – Novel Inventions and Epic Journeys. A narrative non-fiction work published in May 2023. The author has enjoyed a lengthy career as an engineer, inclusive of writing technical documents and manuals for commercial, institutional, and government entities. Documents including Specification Books, Campus Planning Studies, Facility Operations Manuals, Building Design Narratives, and more. While drafting the manuscript for Timeless Miles, the author had the unique opportunity to meld together his love of engineering, history, automobiles, and writing to produce a work that is both informative and entertaining. The author lives in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area, along with his wife, and their two loyal retrievers.
