People, places, and animals are serve as inspiration for my writing. Usually, I'll get a nugget of a concept I want to share with children and then I think of a character that I want to deliver that message.
I would encourage my younger self to keep writing and pursue it as a career much sooner than I did. I had no idea I could make a career out of it, so it stayed as a hobby until later in life.
