I do get excited when I get near the end of the book. Though as a pantser, I may have written the last chapter first and have been writing toward that scene. Still, it is always happy and sad to say goodbye to the characters I have come to know. That is why a series is nice because many of the same characters return in the next novel as in my Sierra Creek series.
