      • Literary success is not measured by how many books you can sell but how many lives you can touch by the message in your book. That's my measurement of literary success.

      • I would tell my younger self to keep writing. Don't stop and don't worry about when and how your writing success is going to happen. Coming out of college, I went into the higher education field and enjoyed a little of it, it wasn't my passion.
I always knew I would end up eventually writing full time. I'm just glad I didn't give up.

      • I know that my inspiration began first with reading and writing poetry. I started writing poetry when I was in middle school. That was more than 26 years ago (WOW!)! My love for poetry and reading opened my mind up to a world of endless possibilities. I knew that someone would be inspired by what I had to say on pen and paper.

      • I love going to book events, I prefer smaller crowds because I get to really share my book and read it out loud, plus have real conversations with those who have been or their child was inspired by my book. I really appreciate it, it makes me feel special and blessed. I'm so grateful for the opportunity.
