    • What was the hardest part of the process of writing a book? With my book, I'd go with writing (due to the subject matter) and marketing.

      • hmmm if I had to choose just one it would have to be motivation. At times it can be a struggle to find the motivation when it comes to certain areas throughout the process
I hope you are able to find the inspiration needed to help you create

    • Glad to follow back. Nice bio, nearly mirrors my own when it comes to the fantasy genre. Are you straight epic fantasy or have you ever tried portal or urban fantasy?

      • Hello Christy and thank you for your kind words
This is my first attempt at writing my own novel/s so I'm still quite new to a lot of things lol. And no it's not just a straight fantasy genre, in fact, I prefer to use a mixed genre. My novel series genre is a mixture of fantasy fiction. historical fiction, mythology and a dash of sci-fi. so yes there is a mild - fair amount of portal travel throughout the series lol
So how long have you been writing? and what is the genre?

        • Hi, back. That's interesting. I also mashup my genres quite a bit and haven't stuck to any single one until recently--the YA fantasy area. I'll put my Amazon page in here and give you an idea. I'm all over the place. Most of my published books are written in my real name Chris Stevenson, while the YA genre is in Christy J. Breedlove. I've been writing for about 29 years, with a few gaps in between, but pretty steadily. I'm retired so I can take more time at it. Have you been in AllAuthor for a long time? I've only been here about six or so months.

            • Hi, April! Oh, I love the Aussies! I live currently in Slyvania, Alabama, out in the remote suburbs in the northern part of the state. Yes, I've been at it for 29 years as far as published articles, scripts and books. Much longer as a writer-way back there. Screamcatcher: Web World does appear on my Amazon page, written in my pen name Christy J. Breedlove. I'm still furnishing free review copies for anyone interested. Just let me know. I've been with AllAuthor about eight months, so I'm relatively new myself. I like the analytics and sales venues they provide. Blessed wishes with your projects and let me know which book you are currently marketing/promoting at the moment. Or if you have a cover that you have entered in the contest.--Chris

                • Hi, April. Life gets in the way and we bounce around a lot. The cover contest is actually here in this group. Check the top tab up there where is says, "Contest." You can enter your book cover and ask your social media friends to link into your cover and vote for it. I only had one cover voted in but didn't win anything. Promotion? Oh, that's a tough one. The industry has changed soooooo much. For one thing, any promo or marketing site you go to apply in, just make sure your book is free, Kindle Unlimited Free, and/or .99 cents. Nothing else will compete with all the others that are in that site and they all pretty much require those low prices and freebies. Google any one of these and see what floats your boat--Just Kindle Books, Fiverr (bk Knights), Bargain Booksy, Robin Reads, Kindlebook Review, Book Barbarian, Bookends, Book Dealio, E-book discovery, E-Readers, ENT, Book Reader Magazine, and Pretty Hot Books. BookBub is very expensive for a featured book but I hear it is the only one with guaranteed returns on your investment. FaceBook and Twitter Booster ads might work for you, but they have never worked for me. I wish I could tell you which one actually worked,
