I'd love for one or more of my books to be made into a movie or series. Ha-ha, I know, just like everyone else! But I've been fascinated with the film industry for years, and used my small amount of experience when I wrote Taeryn: The Awakening, which takes place on a movie set. They start rehearsals in Hollywood, then go on location to the mysterious and beautiful caves of Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico.
I'm still getting comfortable with my writing schedule, and sometimes I have trouble focusing on my story. If it persists, I find that reading a book or watching TV helps rejuvenate my creativity. It doesn't even have to be in my genre. I'll analyze world building, scene flow, character development, etc. Those are all things that are important, whether writing a romantic scify or a legal thriller.
