      • Patricia Briggs so I could thank her for reigniting my passion for writing with her Mercy Thompson series. Anne Rice because she introduced me to the Paranormal world. Last but not least, fellow Indie author Maria Luis so I could thank her in person for all her advice and support.

      • I think it's opened up books to more people. A traditionally published paperback is 8 bucks, at least. That same book in e-form is half that. That's much easier on the wallet!

      • I write in a multiple of genres, including Contemporary, Paranormal, and Historical Romance as well as Urban Fantasy. If I were yo completely change genres, maybe crime suspense or women's lit.

      • Honestly? I'm not sure. Maybe a little Patricia Briggs, a little Laurell K Hamilton, and a dash of Christine Feehan.

      • That would probably be Radiant Violets, the 4th book in my NOLA Shifters Series. There was a several month lapse in writing and ultimately, I don't think it's quite as good as the first three books.

      • I have. I spent a couple months homeless and jobless and ended up living under a bridge. I've got an Urban Fantasy in the works where the story starts with the heroine in a similar situation.

      • Oh yeah. It all depends on the cause. For me it was because another story was screaming to be told so I focused on it and the block went away.

      • I've been writing for years, but up until 2 years ago, it was just fanfiction. Even that stalled out for a few years, during some upheavals in my life. Then one day, I was in Dollar Tree, and came across Fair Game by Patricia Briggs. I loved it and proceeded to read all of her Alpha and Omega series. That led me to her Mercy Thompson series, which I devoured. That series jump-started my passion for writing again. I started writing fanfic s about the series, but I wanted my own stories and my own kick ass heroines, and thus the NOLA Shifters Series was born!
