I have always enjoyed writing, even as a youth. It is where I feel most comfortable with myself. My current book, THE DUNG BEETLES OF LIBERIA is based on the experiences of a friend of mine in West Africa as a transport pilot in the 1960’s. It was just a story that had to be told. I spent over 40 hours interviewing him and turned his adventure into a novel because I also wanted to make a statement about the country and the society in which he found himself.
