It's such a pleasure when you stumble upon an author you reliably enjoy everytime. Ella Sheridan is on my favourite/one-click author list now. This book is compact compared with her other works, but still manages to emotionally connect you with the characters, take you on a journey of the required story arcs, and deliver some serious steam in the process. This story is the "unrequited teenage crush, best-friend's brother" trope with a BSDM twist. Beautifully executed. My biggest complaints were (of course) I could have read a story three times as long with these two, and then might have gotten the juicy detail on their shared past. But the suggestion was enough and I enjoyed this little interlude none the less. Satisfying "only a little reading time to spare" reading. Love this author!
