Born Ruth Jerraisetti Harris in Oka Tamuning, Guam, Ruth is the youngest of eight children. As a young child, she began telling stories, developing unique characters, and conjuring fantastical worlds in her mind. As she grew older, a thirst for reading overcame her and she devoured all kinds of books, finding kindred spirits in classic novelists such as Dickens, Bronte, and Fitzgerald. She started writing her first novel at age eleven. After high school, she attended the Art Institute of Phoenix to pursue her other great passion: Art. Ruth now lives with her husband and five children in Texas.

Although I am very well versed in Christianity and religious mythology. My design with my version of wiccans is to create something unique to my world while keeping true to some of the customs of real Wicca. The reason why I do this is because in my books real witches are not human but one of the races of cain. At some point real witches did instruct humans in their ways but over time humans changed the way they pratice the craft loosing alot of power of real wicca. (less)

On the other hand writing one story always sparks new ideas for other books. If all else fails surround yourself by like minded writers and pose your story dilemma to them. Sometimes it takes a fresh perspective to find a way around your writers block. (less)
