Mike has wanted to write since he was very young. His earliest memories are of carrying a battered old notebook around full of illustrations and stories. He would often transpose those ideas on his grandmother's old typewriter.

While in college, he was inspired by professors and visiting writers to BYU. Literary classics such as Song of Roland and Inferno were often in his backpack, along with Russian textbooks. Chapter 3 of Annwyn's Blood was written during this time as a short story.

Mike works in Washington, DC since pursuing graduate studies in Russian History. He focuses in domestic policy issues.

Recently, Mike has pursued an interest in writing screenplays for feature films with his first option being a medieval epic, Song of Roland. He

Hi Vanda:

That is a great question. I have multiple projects underway right now. First, I am working with a production company on a revised screenplay for Song of Roland. Second, the sequel to Annwyn's Blood is nearly 2/3 complete and I am crushing away on the finishing chapters. And finally, I have a collection of short stories and poetry that will be published as an anthology. I am so excited as I found a wonderful artist who is illustrating the work, which is a new direction!

I have more projects earlier in development, but those are the major ones coming soon. Thank you for asking!(less)

Amber is a fantastical city set at the center of the multiverse, where that city and lands around it cast "shadows" through the multiverse to create worlds upon end. And those worlds of shadow are the playground for the Lords of Amber.

I read the covers off the Chronicles of Amber when I was younger and still love going back to it when I need a comfort read!(less)

Release of Annwyn's Blood Audiobook

Steve and I have been working away at the sequel to Annwyn's Blood, which is currently under edit and revision. However, something very extraordinary happened along the way...

We had such a wonderful experience producing the audiobooks for The Silver Horn Echoes: A Song of Roland and Tales of the Lost Horizon that we decided that the Paladin of Shadow Chronicles should also get narrated versions.

Michael Moorcock
“I think of myself as a bad writer with big ideas, but I'd rather be that than a big writer with bad ideas.”
Michael Moorcock, Elric: The Stealer of Souls

Roger Zelazny
“I like libraries. It makes me feel comfortable and secure to have walls of words, beautiful and wise, all around me. I always feel better when I can see that there is something to hold back the shadows.”
Roger Zelazny, Nine Princes in Amber

Stephen King
“The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them -- words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for want of an understanding ear.”
Stephen King
