Reader Profile: First and foremost, I am a reader. From the moment I could hold a book, I've been fascinated with the written word. I enjoy almost everything, but lean toward romantic-suspense and magical realism. If you're looking for poor reviews, you won't find them here. The reason...life's too short to read bad books. If a book isn't at least three stars halfway through, I stop reading, and therefore, don't feel as though I have the right to review it. That's my policy! Please don't send me requests, though. If you are one of my cyber friends, I will eventually find you. :)

Author Profile: I write stories that overflow with romance, mystery, suspense, a hint of paranormal sometimes, and of course, tragedy. After all, what would a great

My Characters from Creatus, the Midnight Sons, and The Southern Collection Have Gone on Strike!

Picture Dear Friends,

I woke up this morning to an astonishing revelation that left me baffled, intrigued, and, I must admit, a little amused. It appears the characters from the Creatus series, The Southern Collection, and the Midnight Sons have chosen today, of all days, to go on strike. Yes, you read that right! My beloved characters have decided they deserve a day off until I give them what they want Read more of this blog post »

It took me forever to finish this book. In fact, I read two other books in the interim. Odd, since I actually saw the movie years ago, which usually makes for an easy read.

It was well written, of course--it is Grisham after all. But...it was so slow

Without a doubt, this is my favorite Grisham book.

I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I won't get into any of the details. I'll just reiterate that it's great. If you like legal thrillers and/or Grisham, don't miss this one.

I think it means you're a realist! Most of by books usually start with a tragedy, and though I usually have some form a tragedy in the end, I will always leave you with something to smile about. I books that make me happy and sad, because it's real. Mix that with a little make believe, and I'm all in. So you're not alone, my friend. And that is why Sparks sells so many books, but I'm doing my darndest to catch up to him. Wish me luck! :)
