Hello Cintia,
I confess this is a situation I've never struggled with. I think I may have more ideas for books than the opportunity to write them. But, I do have a suggestion. I'm not sure what genre you want to write in (and if you're not sure, that's a good place to start). Whatever genre, find a subject you're passionate about. Ask yourself this, if you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would you want that book to be about? Then write it. Hope that helps.
Best,
Donna(less)

In historical fiction, more than in any other genre, I think it’s really easy to fall back on what appears to be the most popular characters and time period of the moment…the Tudors and Eleanor of Aquitaine jump to mind. Only write about them if that’s what you are truly passionate about, not because you think that’s what you have to write to make it in the genre. What’s popular in any given moment, in this industry, can change with the quickness of a heartbeat. Write an outstanding book and they will read it.(less)

“The real question, the only question, is this… does the artist create only that which would please others, make them money? Or is an artist's true calling to create what our soul tells us we must?”
Donna Russo Morin, Gilded Dreams

“the only question, is this… does the artist create only that which would please others, make them money? Or is an artist's true calling to create what our soul tells us we must?” My husband stared down at me, his gaze a glowing one. “Yours is a beautiful soul, my Pearl.
