It’s all in the mind, body, and spirit. Our health strictly relies on making sure everything is aligned and completely balanced. If we’re not both aligned and balanced, there’s a long list of complications, disappointments and more in store for us. In “Finding Balance and Forgiveness Through Chakras and Art”, author Teresa McCullum describes our world in such a way that involves her readers paying more attention to their entire being. Anyone who might not have known just how serious it is to make sure you have balance in your life should consider reading this book. Many people aren’t huge fans of all things chakra, but she provides detailed information including supporting examples to back up her claims. She doesn’t give anyone the slightest doubt that it is possible to improve your overall being using some interesting methods she shares within this book. There were times I have caught myself trying out some of the exercises while reading, just to see if there would be even a slight difference. I am impressed that it takes a lot of open-mindednesses for someone to consider reading what she explains here. You have to do away with or at least set-aside everything you know and allow her to prove to you the methods work and are safe to try.

Each story she shares relates to a chakra, informing us what are the symptoms of both deficient and excessive amounts in each chakra. Her art is fascinating because she proves that colors, along with being artistic or creative are what helps you along your journey. What is surprising to me was learning about certain behaviors that connect to lack or too much in a chakra, which leads you to think of yourself as well as those around you. To understand that people act a way out of being imbalanced proves that everyone needs to re-evaluate themselves. Charts that were included were extremely helpful. The author was sure to include some affirmation messages at you can say to yourself every day, and inspirational quotes by famous individuals to support her reasons. The end results of her cases helping her patients and family proved that these methods are worth a try. If life isn’t offering you what you want and you know for an absolute fact that you deserve so much more, these techniques would be worth trying.

I honestly never knew just how powerful tapping into your chakras can be in order to calibrate for a complete shift in your life. Many people are walking in this world with an imbalance in one or more chakras and because of that, they suffer greatly in all areas of their life. I look forward to taking practices, breathing techniques, creative outlets, and yoga poses into consideration in hopes my life will begin to improve. I truly enjoyed reading this book and grateful for Teresa in sharing her story, along with using examples of people around her. There’s also some art that she created and shared with her readers, such a wonderful reading experience. I highly recommend this book to everyone to try out this book and use it as a reference because we all deserve to live a better and fulfilling life.

Finding Balance and Forgiveness Through Chakras and Art is a book by Teresa McCallum . This book is a journey to find balance using the Chakra system. The book begins with … telling us her own story about why she went looking for this balance and how she came to it. I really liked starting the book this way because it helped me feel connected to the author from the very beginning. It also let me know that this subject was both important and personal to the author and that passion shows through in the writing. Next Chakras are explained. I really appreciated this section because while I had heard of Chakras I had not researched it enough to have a full understanding. The book covers a vast expanse of information on each of the seven Chakras from explanations of the paintings to yoga poses. The book also ends with a list of resources which I always love because it makes it easy to continue your research if you feel connected to the material of the book.
I really like the balance this book had in personal stories, factual information, and exercises and examples for the reader. These pieces fit together really well in the book so that I felt I had a well-rounded understanding of the topic and how I could enter it into my own life. The occasional charts, pictures, and diagrams were also very helpful to my understanding of the subjects throughout the book. I especially liked the section that explained yoga possess relating to each Chakra and the history of Chakras, especially in the introduction.
Overall the book is well organized and well written. It is a fairly easy read as the tone is casual but there is a lot of great information presented in numerous ways. This book does not just tell you about the system, but really explains how you can start actively putting the system into your life. If you have any interest in Chakras or are simply looking for new ways to bring balance into the way you live, then I would definitely recommend reading this book.
