The little girl comes across an enchanting mermaid and gets a treasure of her own, a beautiful tale told by the Mermaid about the love and friendship between the moon and the sea. It's a tale the that covers heartbreak and hopes in friendships. Sometimes we don't get the turn out we want, but a better gift we need. We learn and grow from heartbreak and learn that love has many dimensions. This is not only a story for children, but for anyone who needs a gentle reminder of hope in a time of heartache.

A Mermaid’s Tale of Pearls is the unrequited love story between the sea and the moon as told by a mermaid to a little girl searching for pearls at the beach. Through this tale, the mermaid teaches a little girl about friendship, heart break, and being attentive to the feelings of others rather than solely your own.
This story is a great read for older picture book readers who can understand more complex stories and who love tales that blend mythology and morality. It holds a great lesson about human relationships and contains colorful illustrations to both balance out and compliment its serious yet magical themes.

I read books to my toddler every single day. Usually my mind kind of zones out as I read yet another farm animal book or something of the sort. As I began to read this book I instantly felt a depth that most of our kid book do not have. As I continued to read the book (while my son was enamored by the beautiful illustrations) I found myself choked up cause the story struck so true in my heart. 😭 I was NOT expecting to have such a strong connection with a story about pearls but lemme just tell you it’s a story about LIFE that is beautifully told. 🥰 Add this to your collection. You won’t be disappointed! I’ll be sending this as gifts for my new mommy and daddy friends!

My girls (4&7) instantly fell in love with this beautiful story and the stunning illustrations. The story is deep and profound, yet written simply enough to be understood by younger children. If you want a unique book for a mermaid lover, this is the one:)

Enchanting story
You don't come across stories like this anymore. Channeling a little bit of Hans Christian Anderson, this delightful tale touches the soul. Honoring the depth that children do have, yet rarely is displayed in today's children's book. This is a tale that can be enjoyed for all ages.

If it wasn't for a friend of mine who purchased the hard copy of this book, I would never know about it! What a beautiful story. This needs way more exposure! A story for anyone and everyone and the artwork is soothing.

This is an incredible book for children and adults that poetically tells deep life truths about love and forgiveness. The watercolor illustrations are so beautiful and creative!! Each page will take you on a journey. For mermaid lovers and dreamers alike, I couldn't more highly recommend this whimsical and powerful book!

This is a great book for parents to read to their children to help with understanding the heartbreak and the different seasons of friendship. It's a beautiful tale and a beautifully illustrated children's book.
