Kayleigh grew up in a small town in Hertfordshire with her Mum, Dad and two Sisters. She grew up not realising she was a part of a Neurodiverse family. Kayleigh is a Mother to 3 young children. In her 30's Kayleigh was diagnosed with ADHD, which inspired her to write children's books to help spread awareness of Neurodiversity and promote inclusivity. This is the first book in the series of The Adventures of Lady Mouse and Wolfy.
This well-crafted book offers an insightful and accessible portrayal of the challenges faced by individuals with ADHD, making it especially suitable for young readers. Set in a picturesque seaside location and enhanced by charming illustrations, the narrative is both engaging and educational. I found it to be an enjoyable and meaningful read, and I look forward to exploring more of Kayleigh’s work in the future.

We really loved the beautiful illustrations in this one! Our favorite character was Lady Mouse.
This is about an autistic wolf and a mouse with ADHD who are best friends. They plan a day at the beach, but things don’t go quite according to plan! They solve the problem and make a better plan for next time :)
I will say, we didn’t realize the two characters had ADHD or autism until we read the blurb afterward! Wolfy will relate to any kid who likes to have a set plan, and Lady Mouse will rate to any who like to fly by the seats of their pants!
