Omoruyi Uwuigiaren is a cartoonist and writer. When he was a kid, he loved music and composed songs for his high school band. After school, he wanted to pursue a career in music. Instead he embraced writing and studied Mass Communications.

He freelance as a cartoonist with Vanguard newspapers from 2002-2005

Presently, he freelance as a cartoonist for The Mirror Online.

Some of his published books include:

Andrew Golgotha: Children’s book self-published in 2003. This was his first published work. Due to poor marketing, things did not turnout as anticipated.

Little Okon and the Outside World is the touching story of a boy who was an orphan. It was first published in 2004 by Apex Books Limited. The title is now published by Human Change Communicati ...more

Mr Ibu Dies at 62

After months of undergoing multiple surgeries for an undisclosed ailment, veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, alias Mr Ibu, died on Saturday.
The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed this in an Instagram post.
Mr Ibu, 62, suffered a “cardiac arrest” and “didn’t make it,” Rollas stated. Read more of this blog post »
