Frank W. Butterfield, not an assumed name, loves old movies, wise-cracking smart guys with hearts of gold, and writing for fun.

Although he worships San Francisco, he lives at the beach on another coast.

Born on a windy day in November of 1966, he was elected President of his high school Spanish Club in the spring of 1983.

After moving across these United States like a rapid-fire pinball, he currently makes his home in a hurricane-proof apartment with superior water pressure that was built in 1926.

While he hasn't met any dolphins personally, that invitation is always open.

It covers the period of August 1947 through December 1950 and tells how Nick & Carter met, how Nick finally decided it was OK to spend his loot, and a few other bits and pieces that are woven into the mysteries. You might see two novellas listed here, 1947 and 1948, that are no longer available. They are expanded and integrated into An Enchanted Beginning. Thanks for reading and for your question!(less)

"Screenwriter ("Addams Family Values," "In-And-Out") and author Paul Rudnick is a very funny guy. And a very gay one. Most specifically, a very fashion-forward proud 65-year-old New Jersey Jewish gay one. Even when he’s in Hollywood. Example:

Cruisin’ and groovin', top down on the Cougar, 8-track tape playing, Nick and Carter were off on a warm, Sunday drive. Lunch awaited them at the Merka family winery. That was the plan... until an uncanny death revealed " Read more of this review »

“I play by the rules that are important. We protect our own because we can't count on anyone else to do so. I make it possible for men and women, the ones you work with who would otherwise drink themselves to death... Or whatever it is that gay cops end up doing to themselves because they can't come out... I make it possible for them to be open at work, make a good living, and do things that are meaningful and help others. The rules for way too long have been designed to keep us, and lots of other people, in our place. It's 1970 and we're not gonna play by those rules any longer.”
Frank W. Butterfield, The Rowdy Renegade
