The cover designer is more important that the actual cover. I have a friend who has been a professional designer for 25+ years.
About a year ago I found a photo that I loved of a scene in the book and she designed about 15 variations with that and threw in one extra (when I asked). The problem with the beautiful photo was that it was really a panorama. It looked great spread over front and back cover but wasn't going to look like that on the ebook.
When I saw the 'extra' - the eventual cover, I just thought - that's it. The silhouette was one of several. I liked the one that looked a little messy and not quite all together.
Then I let supporters on my closed 'storytellerchristine' group on Facebook vote. Eventually they chose the blue one too. (less)

It is obvious that this is one of the earlier books. I was interested enough to keep reading and liked the ending but the writing was nowhere near the standard of later works.

I have just read the novella 'Lost and Found' and found a new author to keep reading. Milla Holt writes romance but this one wasn't. A well written story that was realistic about both the cost of following Jesus and that it is worth it. Well done. ...more

Enjoyed this story about two disasters 100 years apart.
Good to see a book tackling the issue of believing in fantasy. Several of the characters were 'in love with love' not real people.

“It would be great if Jesus could just be a useful model of how to live with some wise teachings he could apply in his life. But that wasn’t an option, not based on what he’d read so far. Jesus demanded all or nothing. Paul didn’t want to give all, yet was equally afraid to ignore what he’d learned.”
Christine Dillon, Grace Beneath the Frost

“because there really isn’t much of a difference between Christians and non-Christians,”
Christine Dillon, Grace in Strange Disguise

“As I’ve said to you before, dying can be a good thing. It has shown me what really matters. Aside from my family, you and several others are on my heart. I want you to have the best possible opportunity to meet Jesus, yet I find myself afraid to speak the truth to you. Have you ever noticed how much of human interaction is dictated by fear?”
Christine Dillon, Grace Beneath the Frost
