“So this was love then—wanting to give only pleasure to the beloved; constantly searching your mind for love tokens that would bring a smile to her lips or a sparkle to her eyes. Some authors post their own reviews of their books but I do think the better practice is not to do it.

Hello again Regan. I just cleared the rating, but left the Kirkus review.

The review actually done by Kirkus. When I posted the review the people at Goodreads told me to put it there. I can change it if it's not appropriate.

Hi Regan, I hope the reviews to read on Guardian of Paradise don't discourage you from reading the book. There are quite a few others that were good.
I have been enjoying your posts on Facebook.
Thanks, W.E.

Caroline, I am thrilled you like Racing With The Wind. Against the Wind follows with Sir Martin's story and, coming this spring, Wind Raven, the story of Capt. Jean Powell, Martin's brother. It is a pirate Regency! Hugh and Mary are characters in my short stories and my novella, The Twelfth Night Wager.

Serenity, I read and review the new ones, too, though I have to say the older ones still capture me. They are so good. Right now my all time favorite is Bride of the MacHugh by Jan Cox Speas--a Highlander romance written in 1954 (!), but it can compete with ANYTHING out there today!

Kathleen: I bought the trilogy and haven't gotten to this one but loved the first. I'll try to move it up on my reading.
I see you have Sweet Release on your to read list. I'll be curious about your reaction. I stopped reading it after the scene where they make love for the first time. I thought his actions showed him to be a callous bastard. I did a compare and saw that generally we tend to rate books similarly.
Thanks for the friendship Regan! I love historical romances and just read the blurb on yours!! I so can't wait til I can get and read. Great to meet you!
