What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

Living the simple life in the farm. Animals and vegetation everywhere, it was the ultimate playground.

Do you remember the first book you ever read? What was it about?

The Little Red Ridding Hood and it is my favorite Halloween costume.

What did being an author mean to you as a child? What does it mean to you now?

It never crossed my mind to write a book in my life, however life circumstances motivated me to write in hopes to help others. I believe writing provides healing and it has given me a voice I did not know I have.

What sort of cultural, spiritual, or social value do you think reading and books hold?

Books are timeless. Once is written is a piece of history because is proof it existed. Regardless of what is written in it, its value was established at the time of creation and throughout time, it will hold move value to those who seek to understand what was the point of it being written in the first place.

What are the advantages of morning reading?

Stimulating the mind early enough in the day to carry a sense of reflection and wonder throughout.

What challenges did you face while writing your book, Make Peace With Anxiety: Manage the Good, Bad and Out of Control?

Raw emotions. Because this book was inspired by the death of a family member, I cried all chapter one and sporadically throughout the book.

How do you support your well-being? Why?

I practice many mental wellness activities to strengthen my coping mechanisms. When life gets challenging, I will be better equip because I take care of my mental state on a regular basis. It is like a muscle, if you exercise it regularly, when you need to use it is ready.

How does inspiring others change you?

It makes me feel like what I have to say or do matter.

Why did you decide to publish your novel, Haz La Paz Con La Ansiedad in Spanish Edition?

Since I know Spanish, I felt like translating the book to reach more people was a given.

What kind of mindset is required for personal growth?

Understanding that we did not come to this world to look pretty and pay bills. We need to experience, explore and love our self enough to honor our emotions as we feel them.

How do you promote well-being through technology?

Prior to contracting COVID, I was very active on social media posting wellness tips. I also, utilized health apps to monitor and mange my health in different ways, always sharing my results with others in hopes they too use the available tools for wellness.

What is "authenticity"?

Being who you are without applying any social conditioning.

How do you inspire other people through your writing?

I have been told by readers that after reading my book, they have decided to seek emotional support of some kind.

Do you have any future projects we can look forward to?

I am writing a second book regarding divorce, emotions and mental health however, the draft has been taking me a while to complete since I am still recovering from COVID.
