Do you have a simple childhood memory that you could never forget?

I remember the first day of kindergarten my mom walked me to school.

As a teenager, what were you obsessed with?

As a teenager, I was obsessed with pageants and singing competitions.

Were you a big reader as a kid too? If so, what were some of your favourite books then?

I wasn’t totally a big reader as a kid. I branched out into music which was one of my favourite hobbies.

One of my favourite book as a child is the Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. This is a story of a fun-loving orphan boy who helped reinforced that honesty is the best policy.

What are the pros and cons of being a teacher?

Pros: My personable and communicative nature allows me to easily captivate young minds by engaging them in fun and exciting ways where learning is achieved without their awareness.

Cons: I am always teaching in one way or another and I always have innovative teaching ideas.

At what age did you write your first book? Did it get published?

I wrote my first book, Did Santa Wear A Mask at age 30 during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This book was published Dec 2020

How did you come up with the plot of your book, "Did Santa Wear A Mask?"?

The plot of my book was inspired by my family.

I decided the book will prominently feature the JAG Brothers.

They helped in the solution to one of the biggest challenges ever faced at Christmas time; how to safely deliver presents during the COVID-19 outbreak while still adhering to the newly implemented hygiene, physical distancing and travel restrictions in effect.

Is Christmas your favourite time of the year?

Yes, Christmas time is one of my favourite time of the year.

At what age did you stop believing in Santa?

I learnt the truth about Santa at a young age but I never stopped believing in the joy and love he shares at Christmas time.

What do you eat around Christmas time?

At Christmas time some of my favourite dishes to eat at breakfast includes; ackee and saltfish, fried dumplings, breadfruit and fried plantains.

At dinner time some of my favourites are Salmon, Baked chicken, Stewed Oxtail and most importantly Jamaican Rice and Gungo peas with a slice of my Jamaican rum cake.

What is your writing kryptonite? Inversely, what is something that never fails to inspire you?

My kryptonite is my children- The real JAG Brothers. They always share ideas that often time I use as inspiration.

Bookmarks, dog ears, or leaving the novel open and face down, which do you prefer to keep your spot while reading?

To keep my stop while reading, I like to use a bookmarker, most times I make my bookmarkers.

What is the sweetest fan-mail that you have ever received?

The sweetest fan mail was a handwritten letter that I will be keeping for a very long time.

Would you rather see the future or change the past? Why?

Life is filled with all kinds of surprises, both good and bad but, I would rather see the future. I understand that I can’t control the random circumstances of the future and obstacles that come my way, but I can like the fact that I can adjust my sails to reach my destination.

How many plot ideas are just waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?

I have 2 ideas waiting to be written. I will be developing a series- The Adventures of the JAG Brothers. The JAG Brothers are siblings who are always ready to try new challenges or help others in need with a twist.
