What first inspired you to write erotic romance? Was there a moment when you knew this was your genre?
It all started with Penelope Skye’s Buttons and Lace. I thought I was picking up a nice little detour from my usual adventure reads… and then BAM—suddenly I’m in a seductive, dangerous, toe-curling world where the stakes were as high as the heat level. I devoured it and immediately thought, “Yep, I need to read more.” Adventure novels are fun, but erotic romance? That’s like adventure with extra…perks.
Your books are known for their powerful chemistry and deep emotional layers—how do you balance heat with heart in your stories?I let my imagination run wild (like a caffeinated puppy in a flower field), and then I make sure the emotions pack just as much punch as the passion. If the bedroom scenes are sizzling but the characters feel like cardboard cutouts, then I’m doing them (and the readers) dirty in all the wrong ways.
Can you walk us through your typical writing day? Do you have any rituals that help set the mood for writing intense scenes?My writing day starts like any respectable adult’s: breakfast, shower, and the all-important “clean the bedroom or else my brain will revolt” routine. Once everything is in order, I crank up my playlist, sometimes with some upbeat songs, sometimes with slow and romantic ones. Then I shut out the world like I’m about to plan a high-stakes robbery. Instead of stealing money, I’m stealing hours to write things that will make strangers blush.
How do you develop your characters' emotional journeys alongside their physical intimacy?I plot my characters’ emotional scenes like I’m playing matchmaker and puppet master all at once. They have to make readers laugh, swoon, maybe ugly-cry a little, and still be the kind of people you’d swipe right on without hesitation. Hot is good, but hot and hilarious? That’s lethal.
Where did your idea for “Twice Tempted” come from? Do you draw inspiration from real life, fantasy, or a mix of both?My brain basically runs a 24/7 “What if…?” section in my frontal lobe, and one day the episode was: “What if a man found his lost love, only to discover she had a baby… and it’s his?” From that one emotional sucker punch, the entire book unfolded. It’s a mix of fantasy and drama, with a sprinkle of real-life situations.
What do you think sets your novel, “Breaking Free: Erotic Romance,” apart from other steamy romance novels?This isn’t just “girl meets guy, sparks fly.” This is “girl stuck in the shadow of her super-talented sister, gets betrayed by her family, and bolts to start over—only to crash headfirst into the one person who will change everything.” It’s not just heat, it's healing, self-discovery, and a whole lot of steam.
Do you have a favorite book or couple that you’ve written so far? What makes them special to you?Moretti Brothers has my heart and probably a chunk of my sanity, because it took over six months to plan and write. Twin brothers who are lethal, loyal, and infuriatingly handsome? Yes, please. They share a powerful bond with the heroine, and the whole story became this big, intricate web of danger, romance, and… did I mention the twins? They’re also Italian.
How do you approach writing a happily-ever-after that still feels earned and realistic after all the emotional and sensual intensity?For me, a happily-ever-after isn’t a cookie-cutter wedding and a white picket fence—it’s whatever feels like true peace for the characters after the chaos I’ve put them through. Sometimes it’s marriage, sometimes it’s running off together into the night, or even going their separate ways.
Your books are described as perfect escapes—what do you hope readers feel after finishing one of your novels?I want readers to feel like they’ve been on the kind of vacation you don’t tell your parents about—thrilling, emotional, maybe a little dangerous—but also one they’d absolutely book again. That’s why I hop between action, suspense, dark romance, and comedy: there’s an escape for everyone.
Beyond the passion, your books often explore raw emotions. What themes do you find yourself returning to again and again?Suspenseful, action-packed erotic romance is my sweet spot. Give me danger, give me adrenaline, and then throw in the kind of chemistry that could blow up a city. My favorites so far? Phantom and Cutting Edge, two titles that basically dared me to top them.
How important are consent and emotional safety in your depiction of intimacy? How do you make sure readers feel both thrilled and respected by the content?I’m all about thrilling readers without blindsiding them. Some of my books come with clear content notes right at the start—whether it’s dark, light, or somewhere delicious in between. My goal is to make sure everyone knows what they’re signing up for before they step onto the rollercoaster.
What has been the most surprising or touching feedback you’ve received from a reader?One of my biggest cheerleaders is Amber from my IG author group; she’s basically my personal hype squad. She’s left glowing reviews on my Amazon, sent me the sweetest messages, and generally reminded me why I do this. Seriously, every author deserves an Amber.
Can readers expect more sizzling stories soon? What are you currently working on?Oh yes! The spice train has no brakes. I’m deep into the next two books of my Superheroes After Dark series. The first one, Titan, is already out, and each book follows a different couple through high-octane, high-heat adventures. Think superpowers… but with more kissing.
When did you join AllAuthor? What has your experience been like?I joined AllAuthor in September 2024, right when I decided to stop treating writing like a side hobby and start treating it like my second heartbeat. I love the features, the community, and yes…those cover contests bring out my competitive streak in the best way.
