Sarah J. Pepper Interview Published on: 22, Dec 2015

Short bio or SYNOPSIS here on writing as your passion.

Sarah J. Pepper specializes in dark, paranormal romance - think "happy ever after" but with a twisted, dark chocolate center. Real-life romance isn't only filled with hugs, kisses, bunnies, and rainbows. True-love can be more thoroughly described in times of darkness and tribulation. It's in those harsh moments where you see what a person is truly capable of - both the good and bad. Sometimes prince-charming isn't always on time, and the glass slipper is a little snug. However, it doesn't mean Charming is not Mr. Right, and who says every shoe is the perfect fit? Get a glimpse inside her head at www.sarahjpepper.com

How long have you been writing and what inspired you to do it seriously?

Well, I sort of fell into writing. I was finishing up a series by an author I adore, and it was blizzarding outside. I'd already shoveled the driveway twice and figured it was my husbands turn to get all bundled up. When he was outside, I cracked opened my laptop and figured "Hey, I'll give this a try" (never thinking anyone would read it) Long story short, the novel was well received and now I am working book #14 .

When choosing a name for your characters, what do you consider about them that determines what you finally call them?

Oh man! I usually let my readers name them. I AM TERRIBLE at names, titles, all the important things about a book. The best was when I had to name a garage band - My readers had a hay day thinking off amazing names for that lol.

Did you have a collection in mind when you were writing them?

Almost never. I write as the story speaks to me. Can any novel be turned into a series? Yes, so if readers enjoy it, then I'll usually follow up per their demands.... Oh my, my readers basically have control over my life.

How did you choose which stories to include and in what order?

Ummm, whatever the readers are screaming the loudest? LOL! I have several series and collections out there. So I have a lot of things brewing and normally do whatever you guy want :)

Do you have a “reader” in mind when you write stories?

Always :)

What do you do to get book reviews? what is the best review you ever got?

Honestly, I don't want to go too deeply into this but long-story-short, I gave a reader purpose and it saved her life.

What does the word “story” mean to you?

A collection of thoughts that randomly thrown together make sense :)

Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?

It's almost never structured, as my editors can contest.

How do you promote your work? How Quotesrain help you in your book promotions and sales, would you like to refer this platform to your author friends?

Quotesrain is GREAT! I know that I have a presence online even when I'm in my writing cave.

Would you like to share something with your readers and fan?

Without you guys, I would be nothing. It is your support and encouragement that keeps me writing. Thank you for giving ME purpose.
