After reading Alex Haley's Roots, Sharyn developed a passion for genealogy and history that deepened with the ensuing years. This went hand in hand with another newly discovered interest: writing. 

And so the Southern Skyes series was born.

Later, because of her passion for mystery and crime fiction, she more recently dived into the world of writing cozy mysteries.
