About
Darryl (Deri) C. Draper-Amason is the Lead Project Scientist for the Center for Mission Engineering at Old Dominion University, where she leads research and applied initiatives focused on mission engineering, digital transformation, workforce development, and performance improvement across defense and industrial environments.
Dr. Draper-Amason is the creator of the Integrated Digital Maturity Pathway (IDMP), an AI-enabled methodology designed to translate complex mission, manufacturing, acquisition, and workforce challenges into actionable readiness and decision-support strategies. Her work integrates maturity modeling, human-in-the-loop analytics, user stories, and mission engineering concepts to improve organizational coherence, reduce risk, and accelerate operational outcomes. She is also conducting pioneering research on the Unified Theory of Maturity Models (UTMM), an effort to align and integrate readiness constructs such as Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs), Human Readiness Levels (HRLs), and related assessment frameworks.
