Marilyn Kallet

I recently had the pleasure of serving two terms as Knoxville Poet Laureate. I've published 18 books, seven of them lyric poetry. The most recent is How Our Bodies Learned, Black Widow Press. Recently I have published poems in New Letters, Potomac Review and Still: The Journal. I retired from teaching at the University of Tennessee in 2018. For eleven years, I have led poetry workshops and residencies for the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, in Auvillar France.
