For example, his discussion of ancient Sicily—famous even in popular fiction (remember Mario Puzo’s ‘The Godfather’?), with its ancient cave paintings, its intriguing pyramids and its smoke-screen of colourful myths and legends—gave me goosebumps—and I mean that in the most positive sense, of course.
Overall, ‘Heaven Earth and Time’ is a wonderful read—one that will ignite your interest in the Greek islands and beyond and will perhaps inspire you to embark on a similar journey of discovery.
