Paradoxical I Kindle Edition
A Paradox is a statement or proposition that seems contradictory or absurd, nonetheless...expresses the possibility of truth. Angels are messengers who convey God's will...sent to guide and protect us. An apparition is the inexplicable appearance of a ghost, a spirit, entity or a demon.
Visions, premonitions, prophecies and inexplicable phenomena continue to unify
mankind in the difficult effort to understand and explain what is happening in our world. A team of Paranormal Researchers, an Association for the Scientific Research of Phenomena and a group of Quantum Physicists search for answers in the region known as the Bermuda Triangle where many strange occurrences have been documented. However these unnatural events are now being reported around the world. A young Romanian girl disappears right before the eyes of her priest. Soon diverse religions are involved including the Roman Catholic diocese, the Navajo Dine' and Haitian Voodouists who implore the Loa, spirits and Saints for knowledge and guidance.
A fisherman who lost his brother at sea fifteen years ago, hears his brother's voice calling to him from an aperture in the sky. Dr. Brenda Highland ...a paranormal psychologist, unknowingly opens a portal to another dimension and unleashes strange beings into our world. A Voodoo Asogwe (priest) and a Navajo Hatalli (medicine man) join forces in their knowledge of spiritualism and mysticism to gain insight as to what these unnatural occurrences mean to the Earth and all that inhabit it. Gateways open, dimensions overlap, and worlds collide. What will become of man and his very existence? What will happen if beings from these other dimensions invade our world?
The message from beyond our reality is clear. Man must unify to understand. "For in the lived truth of Creation and the Mystique of the Universe and its forces...there is the unspoken terror and fear, of everything above, beneath, beyond, and within!

About the author

Victoria Roberts Siczak was born in upstate New York and lived on the shore of the Oneida River during her childhood. She attended Oswego State and Syracuse University and published many short stories and poems. Victoria moved with her family to Tennessee in 1994. She is a wife, a mother and grandmother and momma to one spoiled beagle/terrier. Victoria is a storyteller with the unique ability to blend science-fiction, fantasy and mystique, with realism, spiritualism, and historical actualizations. Her own intrinsic character portrays a distinctive mystique in her writing and her life. Victoria lives in the southeast and enjoys reading and writing almost as much as she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Her favorite quote is from Actress and Civil Rights Activist Josephine Baker: “The day will come when color means nothing more than the skin tone, when religion is seen uniquely as a way to speak one's soul, and all men are born free. Only understanding this, will enable us to breed love and brotherhood.” “This,” she hopes, “Will one day come to be!”

- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2015The universe is a great mystery. There is more between heaven and earth than we as human beings find hard to comprehend. Although this book is fiction about paranormal and spiritual events happening to different people in the story. It may not be that far from reality, many such things have been reported over the years. It is certainly an interesting subject that author Siczak explored in this story. She has cleverly written a detailed account of the happenings in a scientific explanation so you get a deep insight to the events. This is an intriguing story and I’m looking forward to read book 2 in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2014One must remember that this is a fictional read and not a non-fictional type documentary of angels and apparitions that can be found on the market.
Author Siczak incorporates several different abnormal/paranormal/spiritual happenings that intertwine with the lives of a young Romanian girl named Elaina. Her spiritual encounter is linked with a paranormal psychologist, Dr. Highland when an unexplained portal opens and an entity tries to communicate with her.
A fisherman's family is torn apart with when a loved one is lost in a portal in the Bermuda Triangle. This family's life is intertwined when their encounter links up with young Elaina and Dr. Highland.
You will need to read the story as the author gives much insight into the discussion between the different groups of scientist that are investigating the phenomenon.
I purchased Author Victoria Robert Siczak's e-book PARADOXICAL I: ANGELS & APPARITIONS. The storyline is good, but I had an issue with the layout of the e-book formating. The e-book edition needs to be edited as there are many misspelled words and grammatical errors.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2016That was a first, since I never have read a story about angles and demons and apparitions that way.
Since the story is fiction and nothing is true, but one can think it might can happen, a room between Earth and Haven.
Because the universe is still such a great mystery to us as humans.
I was never thinking about these things, but i loved reading about it.
It brought me outside of my normal thinking.
I recommend that book to everyone
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2016I enjoyed the book. It was fast-paced, suspenseful, and a great horror-mystery. I had a little trouble following the storyline at the beginning as it split between multiple characters stories right away.
But there were two main things that kept it from getting 5 stars. First, was the overuse and misuse of exclamation marks that kept pulling me out of the story. You don't add an exclamation mark at the end of a dialogue tag (i.e. "What did you say?" she asked!). And there were way too many exclamation marks, sometimes three in a sentence, but the character was supposed to be mumbling (not exclaiming). I finally just started ignoring the exclamation marks.
And the other reason was the misuse of *** breaks in the story when they were not needed. Usually, *** are used to break up a story for a passage in time or for jumping to another storyline. But way too often they were just added, sometimes in the middle of dialogue between characters. These were more mechanical things, but they pulled me out of the story each time and slowed it down, so I'm knocking a star off because of it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2015When I was in my late teens I have two unusual experiences. The one my closest friends that had a tragic parachute accident. I watched him plummet to his death under me as his chute never opened. To make matters worse I was the one who talk him into trying parachuting. His face looking up at me before he picked up speed but realized that his chute wasn’t opening plagued my sleep for weeks until one night he spoke to me and said that he chose to jump and it wasn’t my fault. Somehow I got over the issue after that night. Ever since then the other world, the spiritual side had intrigued me. Ms. Siczak’s book, Paradoxical, asks important questions here and I especially enjoyed her suggestion that different spiritual leaders should unite to answer the unanswerable. Informative. Well worth the read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2015Author Victoria Siczak takes the reader on a ride jam-packed with the kinds of things we may have only casually thought about. She dares you to consider that which seems implausible or improbable in the earthly realm--spirits, apparitions, demons and angels--in a setting where we have heard of strange things happening--the Bermuda Triangle. I remember doing a paper in high school on this phenomenon, and Siczak took me right back there to question and wonder some more. Her overlapping and intertwining of the scientific community's exploration of such happenings with different elements of the "spiritual" community makes for an especially interesting read. One can so appreciate the research and effort that must have gone into this book to bring so many complex elements together. A great read that definitely takes you outside of your "normal" day-to-day business. And isn't that what we want in a really good book?
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2015Don't read “Paradoxical” when you are alone at home, especially not on stormy nights when the winds are blowing. A web of whispery doubts and spine-chilling questions will never let you sleep. In this blend of fiction, science and masterful nuances, Ms. Siczak takes us on a spiritual journey filled with dark atmosphere ad questions: What else is out there, and is any of us safe from it? Also, can I mention the GORGEOUS COVER DESIGN? If you can judge a book by its cover, this is the one. I loved both book and its cover.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2017A fictional yet fascinating look at things we often think about. We hear so many documented reports of strange occurrences, sightings of otherworldly beings and the like. Unexplained phenomena opens the door for speculation on everything from theology to quantum physics to extraterrestrial life, and the possible links therein. An engaging read, and definite food for thought.
