I love reading this book, the romance of Lana which falls on two side, and the wave of emotions that keeps on changing makes me want to persuade what comes next. I like this book a lot because it can be tied to reality easy, it's about the emotions that we all have but don't talk about, the language used is so simple which makes this book an easy read. If you are a romantic person and want to get an insider view on what happens in a head and heart of a women who transitioned to a new life, I highly encourage this book.

It’s a relatively fast paced novel that will keep you engaged from the first page to the last. Right in the middle of a peaceful and simple life, she awakens from a dream that ironically reveals a new reality to her that questions the very essence of who she is. Enter Claire, a beautiful young woman who Lana is supposedly in a relationship with. Meandering between Slovenia and Washington DC, sleeping and waking hours, this love story makes Lana evolve and grow. But a decision must be made. Love wins in the end, undoubtedly, but love for whom?’

    Now, if that’s not enough to get your curiosity juices flowing, I don’t know what will. But if you want to find out what happens, you’ll just have to turn the pages for yourself! However, I will say it was well worth the read. It’s my second time reading this author and I must say I was very impressed yet again.

    The story had every element a good story should have. A thought-provoking plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well-illustrated scenes that make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that’s something I really look for in a good book. The erotica is accomplished in the delivery of exciting and titillating prose. From mild illusions through detailed, sexy scenes, the concept is wonderfully delivered in truly amazing writing.

    Captivating and commendable, this work had me immersed from the beginning. It’s an emotional fiction interwoven with sexual discovery. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. There are plenty of attention-grabbing moments in this page turner that will take the reader on a truly compelling and fascinating journey!

    It’s one of those books that come along occasionally that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader.

    If this book is anything to go by, I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Nico J. Genes in the future. It also has a distinctly cinematic feel to it and I could easily see it being adapted for a made-for-tv movie. This has all the hallmarks of making a great series. A well-deserved five stars from me.

    The Magnetic Reverie begins with Lana, a young woman from Slovenia traveling to marry and start a new life in America. While at the airport waiting for her flight, she visits with a stranger and feels an instant attraction to the woman. They part when her flight arrives, and Lana begins her life with Greg in Washington DC.

    She’s very happy with her new life and new husband, and feels she has everything she could want. Then she wakes up. She’s back in Slovenia living with the stranger from the airport—whom she now knows as Claire—and very much in love. When she wakes again, she back in America with her husband. As the story progresses, she questions which existence is real? And she wonders if she can truly be in love with two people at once.

    This book held several surprises for me. The first being the author’s creation of emotional, engaging characters. The fact that I liked Lana, as well as her husband Greg, and her mysterious lover Claire, is a big part of what makes Lana’s struggle work. When I started the book, I was expecting the husband to be a jerk so the reader would want Lana to be with Claire. However, because of the well-developed characters, I really wanted her to have both relationships in both worlds. I was as torn in the decision as Lana was.

    The beautiful settings are also integral to fully immersing the reader into the dual realities. The author excels at not just describing settings in both the United States and Europe, but making scenes come alive. I was expecting a drab and dreary Washington versus a bright and colorful Slovenia. But that wasn’t the case.

    Finally, I was surprised by the ending of this book, which entirely sets up the next one in the series. Without spoiling anything, let me say Lana makes a choice.

    If I have one critique, it would be the book’s pacing. I think Lana spent too much of the book struggling to make a decision, going back and forth, second guessing herself, and questioning what she truly wanted. I was ready for her make up her mind and move on to the next phase of the plot long before she got there. However, this is a romance, not a thriller, and that’s probably right in line with genre expectations.

    Ultimately this is a well written, and beautifully written, romance with appealing characters and a story that takes the reader in some unexpected directions. Romance readers should love it.

    Set between America and Europe, this story follows how Lana is torn between love for her real-life husband and Claire - a woman she meets and falls in love with in her dreams.
    This story is all about unconditional love, questioning of sexuality and the prejudices of society. Emotional, raw, believable, this is a lot more than an erotic romance.

    The descriptions of both countries were detailed and fascinating and the characters were superbly developed and written. The storyline was extremely clever and very unusual. I enjoyed this book a lot and I will be very much interested to see if the next book in the series will answer some of the questions left open at the end.

    I loved this book! From the moment I started reading it I couldn't put it down. If you're like me and love a good love story with lots of emotion and descriptive scenes, then this is the book for you :) Lana finds a love like she's never found before. She's torn between 2 worlds and her emotional roller coaster with Claire had me on the edge of my seat lol I always wanted to know more! I'm excited to read Pt. 2 of this book. I really want to know if Lana's decisions lead her in the right direction.. I guess I'll have to just read and find out!

    The plot is riveting. A girl torn between her two love stories, and one of it is, get this, a dream!
    Ths plot of the story isn't unique, but the author's mastery lies in the way it is told. Lana, our MC, is a girl with the perfect life with a perfect husband, who suddenly realizes that she isn't satisfied with her life and needs more. And fate gives her a chance to live her fantasy!
    But although she initially finds herself extremely happy and begins to question her real life, she needs to make some decisions which will alter both her fantasy and reality.
    The ending was quite unexpected and will make you eager to jump into the second book. Yes, it is a cliffhanger!
