Genre: Dark Suspense Type: Standalone POV: First Person – Multiple "This one was special. This was the woman. We were meant to be…I don't want a new one. I want her…"Only ever you." Nora Robertson grew up as a happy child. However; life wasn't always fair when her parents died in an accident she was forced to take care of herself at only twelve years of age. Even when she found a wonderful support family which she found with Angela and daughter Aubry she found that her shy personality and inability to speak her mind got the worst of her. "Fear is a funny thing. It changes the way you think. It alters your being. I've learned the heart is a wild beast, that's why it is caged inside our ribs, that monsters are real and they look like humans and that love is a fickle beast." Traumatized by an awful evening she decided to move away for the summer to a job she found tutoring an eleven year old girl. The job sounded too good to be true but she was bound to leave no matter what. What she found there in that isolated cabin was something she never expected; something that will have all readers in the edge of their seats. The fight to survive was strong but can survival means becoming someone you can't recognize?! Nora found herself in this situation after terrible events her mind started playing tricks on her and she started giving into her darkness. I really enjoyed this fast past story. The author did a great job giving us a suspenseful read that will you keep wanting to know how this will all end. I was literally nervous as hell; I found myself trying to find the answers to this crazy case. This book was told by multiple points of views which I found it very interesting and necessary. Even though the book was told mainly from Nora's point of view I feel the other views were needed to solve this case. We get to see the minds of the Agent investigating Nora's case. When Nora was finally able to get free from her nightmare she was confronted with a new reality which wasn't easy for her. I enjoyed reading the doctor's point of view as well she was an interesting character; I liked how she was able to help Nora exactly when she needed it. Then we have the best friend Aubry, Eve one of the victims that escaped and Eve little sister and of course we have to have HIS point of view as well which made me connect much more in the story. "We all have demons. I simply chose to feed mine in order to survive." Overall, I enjoyed this book it was well written, the story was excellent and readers who enjoy murder mystery detective books will find themselves attracted to this story. A copy was kindly gifted to me, thank you so much.

Ok so this isn’t my typical genre of book, but then again I don’t even know what genre this would fit under lol. I will say the book itself has a trigger warning, and if you have experienced certain traumas you may want to steer clear.. but it’s so darkly “romantic” and there are LOTS of spice scenes , and the authors description of these “spicy” scenes , are like nothing I have ever read . VERY steamy and could offend some. But if you like a little kink lol you won’t be offended , you will be begging your husband for punishment at bed time . Lol but anyways great read! I finished in two days . This is a series and although Amazon does not carry the brother in paperback form, audible has the book and I followed up with the series immediately after reading this book. Audible is a different ball game and the reader is horrible so try and find the paper book for the entire series , I was able to get the girl from Amazon . But anyways read the tutor series !!! You wont regret it!

I didn't know what to expect from this book and it was different from what I normally read. At first I was skeptical and cringing but after a while it completely drew me in. The heroine is not especially likable at the beginning but as the story unfolds the author draws you deeper into her psychological world until you can relate and be absorbed in her unlikely circumstances. I could completely get her "Stockholm syndrome" the way it was presented. The book is written in a past/present manner that eases those of us who may be a little squeamish for this type of book. It doesn't overkill with torture. A good read. Apparently there is a book 2 coming so I must brace myself. 😜

Only Ever You. Those last words left me feeling drained and out of breath. I don't think I've ever read a story quite like this and I'm not sure what to do with all the feels I've got going on. I'm emotionally drained from the roller coaster ride this story took me on.

Nora suffers through an event that pushes her to apply for an out of town job to earn money for college. She accepts a job as a tutor working for a good looking guy named Holden and his younger sister Charlotte. She lives with them in their cabin deep in the woods with none of the amenities people are today used to. When it's time to leave, Nora is held captive. She and Charlotte escape, but are in an accident. When Nora wakes up, Charlotte is gone. The Tutor is a dark, romantic suspense of the re-telling of Nora's story and the events that happened in an effort to try and locate Charlotte before it's too late.

Gah! This story hooked me from the very first page and kept me completely captivated and on the edge of my seat. My emotions were all over the place and I could never tie down how I felt about certain events. You cannot help but sympathize with Nora and I completely understood her feelings. I mean come on, I felt the same way! Love/hate; happiness/sorrow; heartache; loss; all were such raw emotions. I was right there in that cabin experiencing everything these characters did.

I noticed a couple of reviewers complained about the number of different POVs; however I had no problem distinguishing who the speaker was while reading. Each chapter states who the POV is from and to me it was always clear. Besides, the story needed to be told the way it was in order to grasp the entire picture and to understand the events and feelings.

At the end of the story there's a little sneak peak at what we can expect next from KL. I cannot wait.

This book. I think I have Stockholm Syndrome just from reading it. I feel like K Larsen should be offering a support group and therapy for her readers. No, really.

The Tutor is written in the POV's of all those who are part of the story. From Holden, the abductor and psycho to Lotte, the little girl who was caught up in all of the mess... everyone gets their POV chapters. I thought at first that it would be distracting but it really wasn't. I thoroughly enjoyed knowing what was going on with all these key characters in this twisted, mixed up story.

I really respect an author that writes something so in depth and something so clearly researched. The writing was on point and the characters, plot and scene were so intricately described. My mind was able to, so vividly, picture the cabin and the mountain and the town and the house and everything. The characters were resolute in their descriptions, their choices were all so uniquely defined to what the author had plotted out. Not only was it a well written book but it was so engrossing.

Page by page I analyzed and thought and cursed and was made to feel every emotion. I love this book so much. K Larsen is a new author to me and now I can't wait to read more by her. This author has definitely gained a new fangirl!!

Despite being one of the many captive stories I've already read, I thought at the beginning this would be an interesting variation. Many different POVs make you see the situation from multiple perspectives. A good pace keeps anticipation alive. A less romanticized captor.
But then the story dragged on and on, and I don't know why, I developed a kind of intolerance for h and started liking the H better, no matter how insane he was. The second part was defenetly too long and depressing and the five stars I thought I would give at the beginning became just 3.5.

This was a great read. The author is almost poetic with her words and descriptions and everything flowed beautifully. I found that it did lag a little in the middle as I grew frustrated with the MC. I will recommend This book to others.

What a fantastic story. I loved not knowing what the hell was going to happen next. It was very suspenseful throughout and I was hooked.

Nora has found a dream job tutoring an 11 year old girl for the summer.
It is perfect timing as she could really do with getting away from it all for a few months. It's well paid and exactly what she needs right now.

The only downside is it's very secluded with no electricity or running water. But Nora sees it as an adventure, she can totally do this it's only a few months... right?

However when the three months are up Nora finds out the job she applied for was a permanent position and she's not allowed to leave.

Just what has the handsome man who hired her got planned. This is one job Nora will wish she hadn't applied for when the Mans intentions become clear.

OMFG!!! Is all I will say.

Loved the book and I can't wait for the next one it's going to be so bloody good.

I'm a fan of this author & if you enjoyed this & haven't read Jezebel I suggest you do. (although it has nothing to do with this story).
Nora takes a job as a tutor to Holdens sister but not all is as it seems. So your journey begins ....
This is told in varying POV's as well as taking you into the past & present. You are given little tidbits of information, then the story takes you in another direction. Frustration takes over so you can't put the book down. Need I say more.
The is a specialty of this author & it works well. You can't help but feel for Holden, when his past is revealed & the effect it has on Nora & the other character.
You will be kept on your toes the whole time.
