Ophelia (Bride Brigade Book 4) Kindle Edition
A painful past…
Hope for the future…
Ophelia Shipp wants safety, a home, husband, and to raise a family. To achieve her goal, she travels halfway across the country to a tiny Texas town, Tarnation. What awaits her there must be better than what she left. She longs for a respectable man who will be a gentle and kind husband.
Elias Kendrick had a difficult childhood but he has overcome poverty to build his empire in Tarnation. Now that he owns a successful saloon and the opera house, he is ready to marry and start a family. He’s vowed his children’s life will be different from his—if only he can find the right woman.
Two opposites attract—or are they? Ophelia and Elias must learn to overlook their superficial differences to work out their chance at lasting love.

About the author

Through a crazy twist of fate, Caroline Clemmons was not born on a Texas ranch. To make up for this tragic error, she writes about handsome cowboys, feisty ranch women, and scheming villains from a small office her family calls her pink cave. She and her Hero live in North Central Texas cowboy country where they ride herd on their rescued cats and dogs. The books she creates there have made her an Amazon bestselling author and won several awards.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2016From the very beginning Ophelia captured your heart. Throughout the book you were rooting for her and hoping she would find happiness. Elias was warm, tender and loving but his profession was in direct conflict with the values that Ophelia was raised with. Ophelia ran away from home and joined the Bride Brigade. Of course, her tyrannical father came looking for her. But all's well that ends well and the ending will surprise you! A book well written and very enjoyable to read!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2016I enjoyed this 4th book in the Bride Brigade. Loved the characters and well written as always. This can be read as a stand alone book, but more fun to read the first three before this one, to connect all the characters. A clean and sweet read. Looking forward to the next one. JudyE

I loved the great character development and the little town comes alive through them and I love how each bride becomes a part of the bride brigade for her own reasons and each has a past
- Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2016Ophelia has a rough start in life with a cruel and abusive father. She joined s the bride brigade and goes to Tarnation Texas and meets a man that has her heart but she is afraid that his life is not something she can condone as he owns the saloon and the opera house . Elias is determined to win her heart. This story makes you root for the shy woman and the saloon owner. Waiting for book 5 of the bride brigade

5.0 out of 5 stars Ophelia
I was just dying to read Ophelia's story and it didn't disappoint this frightened quite shy girl transforms into a strong confident young lady in front of yours eyes while reading this book. Her father instilled such scared tactics from misquoted scripture that any man was going to have a tough time trying to court her but there is always a man for the job and I fell in love with Elias as well
