Grant Me The Moon (Texas Caprock Tales Book 2) Kindle Edition
All Tory Fraser intended was to show her high school history club students a local archaeology dig. How could she know the excursion would involve a murder? Or that one of her students would be suspected as the killer? And she had no idea she would meet the man of her dreams.
Grant Grayson has taken over management of Grayson Ranch near Post, Texas to give his grandfather a less arduous schedule. A flash flood washed away an old talus slope on the ranch to reveal a prehistoric cave that is a Clovis site. Being a good citizen, he invited the nearest large university archaeology department to excavate the cave. When a gorgeous blonde high school teacher asks his permission to take her students to the site, how can he deny her?
Tory and Grant are drawn in to the investigation to clear her student but unintentionally make themselves a target. Now they must evade the killer to celebrate their new found love.

About the author

Through a crazy twist of fate, Caroline Clemmons was not born on a Texas ranch. To make up for this tragic error, she writes about handsome cowboys, feisty ranch women, and scheming villains from a small office her family calls her pink cave. She and her Hero live in North Central Texas cowboy country where they ride herd on their rescued cats and dogs. The books she creates there have made her an Amazon bestselling author and won several awards.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2017This is a cozy mystery that's an enjoyable, easy read. Tory Fraser is a professor who teaches high school history and sponsors the History Explorers Club. She wants to take her students on an archaeological dig on a ranch owned by Grant Grayson. When the university professor in charge of the dig is found dead inside the cave on the dig site, one of Tory's teen students, Jacob Brewster, is suspected. Tory and Grant must solve the clues that lead them to the real killer and clear the young man's reputation.
At only a 108 (print) pages, this story is a fun read on a rainy day or when you want to snuggle in your favorite, comfortable chair with a hot drink and take a few minutes to relax.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2017This was a deviation from what Caroline normally writes. This was a modern day murder mystery and was extremely well written. It was filled with action, suspense, and romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Caroline Clemmons. For the first time readers, you are in for a real treat!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2017Spent many hours driving highway 84 into and out of Lubbock, Texas. Reading about Will Rogers and Soapsuds reminded me of all the times I passed that statue while walking across campus. Enjoyed the story very much. Does Brad get a story?
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2017I have now read several stories by Caroline, and I have enjoyed all of them very much. I love her sense of humor, which is very important to the emotions we see in the family conversations. The mystery in this story is important to the good plot.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2017I am not much into romance unless mystery is involved. They all seem to follow the same basic pattern, but if you like that, it is not bad.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2017Grant Me The Moon is a very good story with romance and intrigue. Tory and Grant are good together as they work to solve a murder. I couldn't put it down!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2016The plot is straight forward, and simply put, is primarily a romance. The writing is smooth and the ending is satisfactory.
