It has it all excitment, thrills, danger, passion, clean, humor, wit loved it
I so love this series the author put delightful fun romance with a twist and keeps it very clean but you still feel the passion. Each book is filled with off the wall humor that makes you laugh, chuckle and roll your eyes. It is one of the most delightful series I have listened to in a long time. With each new story the author makes me want more and I can’t wait to listen to the next one. Danger, thrills, adventure of an old man who wanted to become a cop but had no idea it would be this dangerous or exciting. You get a little of everything from drag queens, cross dress along with the mob that wants land and is willing to kill to get it. You have murder, near death as the hunt is on to bring down the mob and all that have anything to do with it. Walter, his friends and their cop buddies will keep you laughing as they bring Elvis back to life, finding the mystery of who is behind the killing and who wants the building. It is a thrilling, exciting, dangerous listen that pulled me in from the first page. Mr Kuch is a wonderful narrator from his male to female voices you are captivated, he really brings Walter to life with his dry humor that fits him to a T. Each of his character voice really fit what I picture the character to sound like which makes it very easy to picture them in your mind. I had no trouble picturing the danger, ribbing, humor and excitement as it unfolds. There are no background noise, no repeating of words and no volume changes. He brings true emotions to his characters you can feel the power of the excitement, danger, thrills, and humor along with the dry humor of dear old Walter. I cannot tell you just how thrilling this audio was and how much I enjoyed his work. The narrator knows how to bring you the thrills, excitement that holds your attention from the first page until the last. I really can’t wait to listen to more of this series from him. Until you listen to one of the Lady Justices audios or read one of the books you truly do not know what you are missing. I am so thrilled to have found this author he knows how to pull the reader in from the thrills, to danger to his wonderful humor along with his weird sense of humor that keeps you laughing but at the same time holding your breath as near death takes over and the thrills of Walter humor once he gets out of the mess he gets into. I love all the characters and what they bring to the stories. This series is truly a work of art that holds your attention from the first page until the last. I never want one of his stories to end and can’t wait until the next one takes off. If you want a truly delightful series to read this is the one for you. I have found you can’t go wrong with one if this authors books.

And this one is no exception. I guess this is one of the first ones he wrote, but don't let that fool you into believing it isn't as good, it surely stands along his others as a great book to wrap yourself into. Like all Mr. Thornhill's book this one has it all, a fast moving story, mystery, humor, romance and some thought provoking subjects to keep the reader thinking about some of the "what if's" in life. This is another winner in my book. As far as this author is concerned he hits it out of the park consistently. Enjoy!

I ordered an autographed copy from the author's website. I've never done that before.
I am on a limited income and don't often pay full price for a Kindle book, much less buy the
paperback after I have already paid full price for the Kindle, so you know I REALLY loved it!

I liked the first book in the series (Lady Justice Takes a C.R.A.P.) enough to try this second one.
As I was reading along, it just kept getting better and better! The situations Walt found himself in...
well,I don't want to give away any spoilers.
My very favorite part was Thanksgiving. In my family, Thanksgiving is THE big holiday, so I really enjoyed it!

You don't have to read the first book to enjoy this one, but you would have a better idea of who
the characters are and how Walt came to be a cop at his age if you did read the first book first.
I am very much looking forward to reading the next one in the series (and the one after that and the one after that....)

I love this series. I am not sure if it's because I'm one of the baby boomers or if it was just plain fun to read. So many comments about growing up in the 50s and 60s brought back fond memories. The characters are oddball but so lovable! this book is a good example that when you retire you do not need to go out Pastor

I wrote a review for this a week or so ago on Audible but for some reason it's not there/here anymore. Or maybe I just forgot to finalize the review.

Anyway, I'm supposed to post this legal disclaimer that: I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Moving on. I wish I'd saved a copy of my previous review so I wouldn't have to type this all up again. I'll try to remember what I said the first time but I think I'll forget. At any rate, this book was an enjoyable listen. It's the second one in the series, and by now I'm detecting certain patterns of predictable plot, etc. So if you're looking for something deep, this probably isn't really the series for you. But for some lighthearted entertainment, it works well. I actually liked this one a little better than the first book (which felt a bit short on overall plot), and there were moments where I literally laughed out loud at some of the antics and inner musings of the main character, Walt Williams.

However, I have to knock the overall score down a bit because of the narrator. It's not because he doesn't perform well, because he actually does a great job and feels like the perfect fit for the characters and story. But. There's a problem that I noticed more with this book than the first one. Mouth noise. By that I mean the extraneous noises/sounds/clicks our mouth makes when we talk. When they're recorded on a microphone they sound so loud and if they're not properly dealt with in audio processing, they tend to become very noticeable. Having said that, I'm a narrator as well so maybe I notice things like this more than the average person would. Still, it did interfere with the flow of the story for me, unfortunately.

But don't let that turn you way from giving this series a try. It's worth checking out.

This guys books are entertaining, funny, delightful -- none of these words you would expect to find in a review of a mystery, unless you're already familiar with Walt Williams and his band of old timers. I have yet to read one of Walt's adventures and not be drawn into the story, and the characters.
