Review

Lady Justice and the Conspiracy Trial is a must-read for anyone who has ever wondered whether the government is perhaps not always forthcoming with "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" in its response to requests for information. Has our government conspired to foist a deadly top-secret program on our planet, or is this just an imaginative and witty tale? It will give you an adrenaline rush, regardless of what you ultimately believe. Lee Ashford for Reader's Favorite

Thornhill has, once again, created a riveting plot that had me on the edge of my seat during the entire read. This well-paced story is suspenseful and full of surprises from beginning to end. It’s easy to follow, even for readers who have never read the previous books.

Even before Walt receives the news of investigative reporter Jack Carson’s murder, a sense of foreboding is in the air. The tension only continues to mount as Walt learns of the “dirty little secret” the government is keeping from the rest of the world. As the story moves along, the details keep adding up, culminating in a series of events that result in more questions than answers.

In addition to the main plot, Thornhill also provides information about Walt’s family life, weaving in events that make up an interesting subplot. His characters are smart and engaging, each bringing something different into the mix. All in all, Lady Justice and The Conspiracy Trial is a well told story full of wonder and intrigue. The end is wrapped up nicely, with just the right amount of mystery to keep me guessing until the next book. I can’t wait to see what further adventures await Walt and the rest of the gang as more conspiracy is revealed.

I could read these books over and over again! I love that they're light, easy reading, filled with humor, and fun! Another score for Walt Williams and company!

Knowledge is power, or so I have been told, and this book is packed full of secret knowledge that 'they' don't want us to know or believe. Robert Thornhill has taken us on an emotional roller coaster of anticipation, fear, hope, relief, and righteous anger while telling a colorful tale full of mystery and humor. His characters have become so familiar, yet still manage to surprise us with their latest antics. The realities of aging combined with the spirit of living life to the fullest make this story enjoyable and pleasant, yet at the same time the truth that lies within this fictional story should make us angry. Angry about the lies, conspiracy, cover-up, and complacency surrounding this covert (or blatently obvious) government program. If knowledge really is power then we need to share this knowledge with everyone we know.
As pastor Bob might advise, we can find something in Ephesians 4:25-26 that applies here:
"Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath"
Even when that sun is going down into a horizon streaked with chemtrails.

It sure seems like there is . Our government appears to be going in a downward spiral , even now . The arguments in the book are strong . I hope Walt will be alright after giving his testimony . Carmine the mobster , accused of killing Jack the crime journalist . Lots of humor and a surprise wedding in this book too.

Review #22 for book #22...If I didn't like them, I wouldn't keep reading. Robert Thornhill takes a retired, senior citizen and turns him into a crime fighter, first for the KCMO police department, now as a P.I. with his brother-in-law who was once in witness protection.I think I like these books so much as they remind me of Dorothy Gilman's Mrs. Pollifax, another senior who joins up with the CIA for all sorts of exploits. Don't write the senior generation off, just because of their age. Walt shows that while others may have more agility, he has experience, wisdom gleaned from dealing with others over many years, and a good sense of what he feels is important for our country. He grew up on Superman fighting for "Truth, Justice, and The American Way", all virtues which sometimes seem lacking in today's world. He just wants to give Lady Justice the benefit of his enthusiasm to help restore balance. Over the years Thornhill has started tacking difficult issues facing our world, mixed in with everyday small crimes and a cast of characters that seem like the Over the Hill Gang, but who are actually almost believable. He's developed them nicely to fit into the story lines; they've become our old friends and feel like our family, too. Not one to sheer away from controversy, the last too books deal with chemical destruction of our environment and the government's purported role in it. Are we becoming too jaded to care anymore? Are we afraid of being labeled as kooks for not dismissing these charges out of hand? Thornhill backs up the possible hypothesis in his latest stories with a dozen websites which also explore these possibilities so the reader can reach their own decision. Five stars for tight story lines, for developed main characters, for timely topics, and for not being afraid of controversy.
