Can departed love ones speak to family from beyond the grave?
These are questions Walt must ponder when a bizarre series of paranormal events lead his friend, Mary, to a treasure hidden away for seventy years, and a family she never knew existed.
Walt’s ultimate answer lies in the words of the Professor, “There are still many things beyond the comprehension of mortal man.”
A light-hearted look at things that go ‘bump’ in the night.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2016I long have been a fan of Robert Thornhill, and whenever I pick up one of his books I know I will be in for a fun read. One of the things I especially love about this series is that all the characters are older and yet life still offers fun, excitement, mystery, humor and plenty of action. As usual I was not disappointed and this time the motley crew was on a ghostly treasure hunt. You don't have to read the books in order to enjoy them, but I usually like to get to know all the players right from the beginning. I wonder what trouble Walt and gang will find next time around?
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2019Lady Justice and the Ghostly Treasure is my twenty-third enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners. Throughout the book I found myself smiling a lot & at times laughing out loud. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Since I own both the Audible & Kindle versions I was able to follow along while being read to Up next is Lady Justice and the Ghost Whisperer. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2016Another fun and interesting tale of mystery and crime fighting with our favorite familiar characters! We have come to love the characters of this series and their crazy antics so that it feels as if we are part of the odd little group. This book was extra special to me because of the familiar places in Kansas City and the Ozarks as well. I have enjoyed every book in this series and laughed my way through this one as well (even though I know people's spirits cannot stay on earth).
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2016I'd actually award this novel 3 1/2 stars if Amazon would get with the program and allow half-stars. It was well-written, well-edited, and very amusing in spots, although toilet and fart jokes marked it, to my mind, at least, as very much a "guy-humor" book. The fact that it was illustrated with photographs of the actual locations was almost enough to make me give it four stars, anyway. I adore an illustrated book, having grown up reading my parents' 40s and 50s-published novels which were frequently illustrated. My Inner Child was enthralled to find an illustrated book in the present century, with explanations at the end of all the photographs. The delightful synchronicity of the events and the not-overwhelming hint of the supernatural made it a very intriguing read, although the characters did not have much depth. All in all, a relaxing, fun read.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2016this is an entertaining novel of a geriatric former landlord, turned PI and his many friends and tenants. Included in this mix is the appearance of a ghost who leads the characters on an interesting chase to find, gold, family and answers to many questions.
The book is a nice quick read!
One of the most interesting parts for me was the historic information from the author about the places in mentioned along with photos. He began his writing career in his 60s which is marvelous!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2016Lady Justice and the Ghostly Treasure by Author Robert Thornhill
"Lady Justice and the Ghostly Treasure" is a spine tingling novel with a twist. The main characters are delightful, entertaining, and a well-developed motley crew who share a history. This easy-to-read book is full of unexpected events which give the reader food for thought about some of life's so called co-incidences. I agree with seasoned Author Robert Thornhill that there could possibly be a spirit life trying to communicate with and protect their loved ones here on earth. He certainly provides the creative effort in order to give relevance to the premise that such a theory might exist. This book is a lighthearted enjoyable read which is bound to brighten many a day!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2017Lady Justice and the Ghostly Treasure is another enjoyable read by this talented and creative author. Robert Thornhill has the innate ability to write a mystery that is not only entertaining but also humorous.
The author draws from life experiences and to these he intertwines his sense of humor and comic timing to create incredibly entertaining books. I have read several books by this author and always feel uplifted by his humor. I would highly recommend all Mr. Thornhill's books.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2016This book had me from go! It's hilarious crew of characters and the various tie ins to the plot kept me wondering "which number" was coming next. I firmly believe in the spirit world and love reading about the experiences others have with the spirits, Angels and guardians of our spiritual world. Job well done Sir!
