They said men only get better with age, distinguished and all that BS, but Archer “Bulletproof” Woods hadn’t gotten better. Being a bouncer at a bar called Brawlers suited him just fine and he even tolerated the rest of the crew who’d taken up residence in his house when they’d had nowhere else to go. He was big, growly and homely that kept the parade of men passing through Brawlers at arm’s length for the past decade. One night changed all that.

What he’d thought was happily ever after turned into a nearly five year nightmare. Gregory Charles appeared to have it all, a successful business, sophistication, and a perfect marriage. His friend and best employee, Landon, begged him to come out to a friend’s bar to celebrate Landon’s anniversary. What could it hurt? A night without contemplating the hell that would come down on him the moment he served his husband with divorce papers would do him good. That is until he met the brooding older man staring into a whiskey straight ignoring everyone around him.

Watching for trouble was his job and Gregory screamed mistake as soon as the long, lean and handsome man sat down beside him. But he also knew when someone was in over their head and Gregory needed someone to watch his back. That someone was Bull, only time would tell if he’d have to fight Gregory as much as the man after him.

    I just love this series. Love these characters. I just love this group of dysfunctional people, who love each other and would do anything for each other. Bull and Gregory are such a good couple. My only complaint is that we didn't get to see Twitch when he came to see Bull in the hospital. I would have loved to see that, since their relationship is a sort of like father and son.

    I love this series so much!
    I knew I was going to love Papa Bear, Bull... he tried to be hard and sure, he was when it came to protecting the ones he cared about, but he loved his family... The guys he'd adopted and took in when they'd needed family... That's exactly what he done with Gregory too.

    Gregory was Landon's boss and was married to an abusive man. Very abusive and although Landon suspected it, he never had proof....until the one day he did and called Bull in to go with his to check on Gregory... That's when Bull claimed him.
    Of course, it wasn't that easy.... There were tons of back and forths, it was a sticky situation since Gregory was married and the psycho husband wouldn't give him a divorce and there's the fact that, bull is 20 years older than Gregory so each one of them had excuses why it wouldn't work out but then in the next breath, they'd say they were claiming each other... So, it took a while, they danced around it for a bit.... But, when they got there, it was incredibly sweet. Gregory was just what Bull needed and Bull was exactly what Gregory needed.

    I think the thing about the exes in these stories is that they're all kind of unbelievable.... Like, trying to kill each other and stuff... I mean, maybe because I'm from a small town with a low crime rate... but, how many times can that happen in one group of friends? A crazy stalker, abusive, murderous ex? Does it happen a lot?
    And then Thrope is a homophobe, but what does that have to do with anything about catching someone attempting murder? I kind of wish we would've gotten little more closure with the ex. I wanted to know he was suffering....I wanted to know that he got his karmic justice... I need vengeance, I guess. I'm psycho like that.

    Overall though, I loved this story... I loved Bull's sweet yet dirty mouth. I loved how he treated Gregory and how Gregory fit right into his life, willingly. It was another awesome addition to an already awesome series. I cannot wait for Hunter!!!

    I just finished these 3 books and just ordered the 4th. book. All I can say is that JM. Dabney knows how to catch us readers and drag us into the story's; hook, line and sinker! I could not put these 3 books down till I was finished with them. I am so looking looking forward to book 4! Please keep up the great writing and really well developed characters. You have me on the edge of my seat. I can't say anymore since the rest of the reviewers have said all of it!

    I've been waiting a long time for Bull to get his book and I was not disappointed!!!! The ending is awesome. I enjoyed watching Gregory change throughout the book from an abused spouse to a guy not afraid to speak his mind. This was an excellent edition to the series. Must read people!!! Oh and I can't wait for Hunter's story, from reading the summary it looks like it's going to be another keeper😀

    The third book and it just keeps getting better.

    Bull has lived for others for years, when he finally decides to live for himself he ends up with a house full of misfits. But they are his family. Everyone needs someone to depend on and Bull is always there no matter what happens.
    Gregory is in need of some TLC and Bull is just the man for the job. Love, protection, and safety are right there in the arms of a man who looks like muscle for a biker gang.

    My favorite character has to be Bull, he is not nice, doesn't make you think of a fluffy loving man. Yet when you are one of his family, he is all that and more. Gregory is the perfect balance four him. Innocent yet just as strong willed as the Bull himself.

    I would strongly recommend reading this series in order, however you can read it as a stand alone.

    I'm so happy Bull finally gets his hea, he's had to stand by and watch the other brawlers and twirlers find their true loves and feel like it was something he was never going to have but truly wanted. Gregory is a lovely character who needed to escape his abusive husband and together they finally find happiness!!! As with all the books in these 2 series there are some laugh out loud moments which I love and we get to see some of the other characters too which is another plus,and also all the babies being born...love it!!! Thoroughly recommend you give this series a go but start with the twirled ink series first you won't regret it!!!
