Tamara Ferguson's incredible story of the love between Tim and Emily is the perfect blend of comedy, drama and romance. Not since Jane Austen's novels have I read such a compelling tale which pulls at the heartstrings to such an extent. With one character pursuing a music career, under the guidance of her overbearing mother, and the other being drawn into the military, barely to make it home alive, the storyline is solid with believable characters, each filled with compassion and a love of animals. It is this which initially drew me to the story, as well as that of the ice hockey match which made Tim and Emily's love possible. I found the way in which the two main characters come back into each other's lives time and time again extremely clever, regardless that they were not related or bound by mutual friendships. I very much enjoyed A Kiss Upon A Star, and look forward to the second and subsequent books in the Daydreams & Dragonflies Sweet Romance series. I recommend this tale to readers over the age of 15 years who share alove of chance encounters, road blocks, bumpy roads, and happily ever after~5★~Rosie Malezer for Readers' Favorite

Tamara Ferguson's sweet contemporary romance, A Kiss Upon a Star: A Daydreams & Dragonflies Sweet Romance, Book 1, is a lovely and warm story about a romance that was destined to be, even if it did take more than a few years to happen. I couldn't help but feel for Emily whose youth is so strictly controlled by her domineering mother, especially as she attempts to halt time by making her daughter appear to be younger than she is. While I never did feel a lessening in my antipathy toward the controlling parent, I found Ferguson's other characters to be authentic and caring individuals who I enjoyed getting to know. I'm familiar with Dragonfly Pointe from Ferguson's other novels based in that locale, and, as with those other tales, found myself happily involved in the goings on in that most magical of places. Emily and Tim's romance has plenty of obstacles in its way, but love this powerful has its way of getting around the largest stumbling points, especially in Crystal Rock. A Kiss Upon a Star: A Daydreams & Dragonflies Sweet Romance, Book 1 is a marvelous read and it's most highly recommended~5★~Jack Magnus for Readers' Favorite

This is an amazing story of two people who keep finding their way back to each other. It is a story that had me believing in true love and soul mates. When a love is this strong nothing, not even distance can ultimately keep you apart. This is the story of Emily and Tim. They first meet when Emily is ten and Tim is thirteen at Dragonfly Pointe. It is after Tim’s hockey game ended and Tim makes sure that Emily gets home safe that night. Their next meeting comes when Tim finds Emily rescuing a puppy from drowning. This is when they first kiss. Now they have reunited again. What will happen this time? People who are controlling and circumstances seem to keep these two apart. Will this be the time that they find themselves in each other’s arms?

    I have read several books by this author and I truly believe that she has discovered the secret to writing awesome love stories. I can’t seem to put her stories down once I start, I just have to know how they end. Her characters overcome roadblocks and find their strength in each other. This book is no exception and I love Emily and Tim’s story. Emily is a famous singer, however, has a mother that controls her life. She wants to be able to decide what she sings and how her life goes however never seems to be able to get out from under her mother’s influence. Emily is a character that I had a lot of empathy for. I was always rooting for her to take a chance with Tim. Will Emily be able to make changes and finally live the life that she wants? By the third time that she runs into Tim, Emily has finally said enough and taken a couple of months off. Will Emily now take a chance and pursue a relationship with Tim? What could possibly hold her back?

    Tim joined the military and is now back at home. He is wonderful at training service dogs and it is a bright spot in his life. Then he finds Emily back in town and he is still falling head over heels for her. Will Tim convince Emily that they belong together? Will Tim and Emily get their HEA? If you enjoy love stories this is one you will not want to miss. When reading I felt that warm fuzzy feeling that comes with two people falling in love. I suggest putting this book at the top of your TBR list. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

At at each encounter emotions are sparked, as the two lovers belong together, and I was sorry to see how life makes them drift apart—until the happy end. Cleverly written by prolific romance author Tamara Ferguson, these four spirals of the love story cast a new film of maturity for the characters at each turning point in their lives, and allow them to reflect on their past.

    “He kissed her deeply and then kissed her lightly, until he had no idea who was doing the giving and who was doing the taking.” If that doesn’t pull at the heartstrings, try this: “Emily’s eyes held a never-ending promise of love that would never fail.”

    Tim and Emily are interesting characters in their own right, with Emily a rising star, and Tim, a soldier. We see her growing into her musical career. We see him saving a stray puppy from drowning in the lake at the Dragonfly Pointe Beach, enlisting in the Air Force, serving in Iraq, and later leaving the Air Force. The cast of characters also includes Emily’s controlling mother and an adorable dog, Chloe.

    A Kiss Upon a Star is the first book in the Daydreams & Dragonflies Sweet Romance series by Tamara Ferguson. As I have come to expect from this talented author, the story is beautifully written- it’s a charming, sweet, and a wonderfully romantic contemporary romance- with just a hint of drama and angst.
    This book introduces us to Emily and Tim who meet when they are young children. Emily had run out of her Aunt’s home to escape an argument between her mother and aunt. She found herself at a hockey match and when the game ends Tim notices her in the bleachers. Concerned, he escorts her safely home.
    Eight years later Emily is becoming known in the music industry and Tim has enlisted into the Air Force, where he hopes to train service dogs. They meet at Dragonfly Pointe, where Emily is set to sing at a wedding and Tim is there suffering from heartache. They share a connection that neither can deny and they are quite drawn to one another. Emily’s kiss affects Tim in a way he’s never experienced before. But all too soon their commitments have them parting ways, with the intention of keeping in touch. But after a while it almost seems to be some sort of conspiracy keeping them apart.
    Years pass by and Emily is now a popular singing sensation, but feels like there is something missing from her life- she isn’t happy and has become a little world-weary- she longs for more out of her life. Tim has returned home after being injured in the line of duty- and is working with and training service dogs. They are reunited and find they have more in common than one would think. Will their connection be strong enough to wipe away any pain and disillusion? Can they find a way to stay together this time, or will outside forces pull them apart again?
    This is a lovely story that will keep you turning the pages to see if these two are fated to be together in the end.
