About the author

Amy K. McClung was born in Nashville, TN. She is the second oldest of four girls and occasionally suffers from middle child syndrome. She met the love of her life online in August of 2004, on his birthday of all days, and married him in September 2005. Currently they have no human children only the room full of colourful robots that transform into vehicles and the large headed Pop Funko’s who represent their favourite characters. Collecting movies, shotglasses, Pop Funkos, and dust bunnies are some of her favourite pastimes. She began writing in September of 2011 and independently published her first YA novel called Cascades of Moonlight, Book one of the Parker Harris Series the following May. Her first book was a means of therapy for her as it enabled her to escape reality for a while during a difficult transition in her life.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2013Wow Amy.....You did it again!!! I absolutely loved this book. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. I want to start by saying that I really liked the recaps from book 1. I was able to refresh my memory as this story progressed and I was happy that was there since I wasn't able to read book 2 right after I finished book 1.
As for the characters, (so as not to spoil it) there is one in particular that haunts the pages and causes me to get the chills when I think about their role in the story. However, a major character in story progression.
Again, I love Mitch soooo much!! He is Parker's best friend and he is always there when she needs him!! Extremely sweet and the true definition of a best friend.
Quinn did upset me this time around. Even though his actions are kind of justified, I was still really not happy with him!! However, he made it back into my heart at the end, as always!!
I did enjoy Jackie more this story and I really felt for her when she was going through tough times.
Parker is always amazing and a wonderful lead character!!
Overall, I give this story 5 stars for an outstanding storyline with great progression and characters I adore.
I can't wait to see what Amy has coming next for book 3 (Coming May 2013)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2013In this second book in the series, it has been several months since Will's evil attack and we find Parker, Quinn, Mitchell and Jackie gaining some independence and normalcy by moving into a new house. They have graduated high school and are starting to make plans for college. These four best friends are happy and in love, but as Parker says, things can't stay like this for long. Parker begins to have realistic nightmares involving Will and she even has a close encounter in her wolf form. Luckily, Parker has good friends who protect and stand by her. Unfortunately, Parker's past catches up to her and a secret comes to surface that threatens to tear Parker and Quinn apart forever. Will true love win in the end? In this book, the author introduces us to some new key characters that are part of the past and present and its interesting to see how she develops and weaves these different players together. Throughout the book, we are also learning different tidbits about each character's past...which helps us to understand the present. The ultimate question... Can werewolves and vampires co-exist? I recommend that you read this book to find out the answer.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2013Missing, found, truth lies, it all comes together. As the gang starts they're new lives, Parker is so ready to settle in. And Bam a new truth, I can't wait for number three..I'm hooked...
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2013As the four friends- Parker with Quinn, Mitchell and Jackie embark on a new living situation things get heated up. Not only will being best friends and roommates begin steaming up amongst couples but best friends too.
Ex's that won't stay dead. Girls who are emotionally wrecked. Guys who just can't take a hint or don't understand the word no as an answer. Then there's the whole Vamp/Wolf thing...
Start to add potential risky players into the mix. New "friends" and old "acquaintances" and you've got yourself in for a non stop page turner.
Okay so I want to be honest, as honest as I can be. I did the one thing that every reader is NOT supposed to do. Read the second book instead of the first one first!?! Completely dumb right? I know, but I really didn't know this was the second one. Got to love that easy peasy one click setting!
I did love this book and went back and purchased #1. I am currently reading that one and will be looking out for that 3rd coming this summer.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2018The story started out slow but as it pulled together and began to make sense it was easier to read. The story began to hold my attention and I enjoyed it.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2013Amy and I worked together, so it's great reading her book. I liked the characters and enjoyed the story! Felt like I was there! I love books like that so you can imagine the characters and the setting! Thanks Amy for the entertainment!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2013Spoiler alert! Book 2 is just as good as the first. This one had been shedding a few tears. I was so heart broken to hear about Quinn's mother. So sad! But Parker and Quinn's love is strong enough to get through any thing. Although when Quinn left for a while her and Mitchel got close and now I think in book 3 my Quinn is going to have to fight to keep to keep his girl. Keep up the good work Amy!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2013book two starts off months after book one left off and it started out great and i had to keep wondering is Will alive or really dead. The book had ups and downs with the characters making you feel you were with them. I cannot wait for book 3 to come out especially the way book two ended I did not see that ending coming. Thanks amy for a chance to read your books
