- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2019Closer Than Yesterday is Book 3 of The Land's End Series and is a great continuation of the series. The author gives the reader a captivating story and introduces several more unique characters in the series. Sarah, is an abused wife from Tennessee and runs away to Land's End to be closer to her cousin, Sam (main character in Book 1). Grae, is an FBI Agent investigating two murders from Chicago, IL who also comes to Land's End. There is a third new character who is a stalker and a serial killer.
Closer Than Yesterday is an emotional story that shows that goodness can win over evil. Although, some evil creeps through as the reader is devastated at the turn of events at the conclusion of this book.
The author, S. W. Frontz, has written a very convincing romantic suspense story in Book 3. Her books made the reader actually "feel". Her books in The Land's End Series take the reader on a compelling journey. Each of her books in this series have exhibited distinct plots, conflicts (right and wrong, good and evil), finalities (victories and defeats) and endings. The endings make you want to read the next book in the series. After finishing this book, I immediately started Book 4 (the last book in the series). I can't wait for this author to start a new series!!!

As soon as I finished this book 3 I stared book 4 and WOW......It is Awesome..... Can't wait to see what happens in the end of book 4.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2023I love all the characters in the Land’s End series, and in Book 3, we meet Sarah, . Sarah has been in an abusive and controlling marriage for 30 years, and when she finally gets the courage to leave, she ends up in Land’s End where her cousin Sam lives and tries to leave her past behind. When she starts falling for someone that will finally make her happy, secrets start coming to the surface that will shock your pants off. I definitely recommend this and all the books in the Land’s End series
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2017After thirty years of abuse Sarah has had enough, she's leaves her brutal husband and finds her way to Land's End where her cousin lives. Here she can start a new life, if her stalker will let her. S. W. Frontz has written an emotional story that left me devastated. I connected with these characters and I care what happens to them. The interaction and kindness of these people pulled me in. I liked Sarah. She's kind and has such an indomitable spirit. When she got a chance at love with Grae, I cheered. She deserves happiness with this good man. It was hard to see evil inflict such pain. Closer Than Yesterday is a story that shows the human spirit can triumph over darkness. Each book in the Land's End series is more addictive than the last. I love these characters and the setting. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read. My comments are my honest opinions.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2022One of the things I like most about this series is how the characters have stuck with me.
Well most of them anyway, those of you that have read the books will get my meaning here...
This third installment though has more characters to compliment the large cast of players already that one needs to keep track of.
That's the thing though. I have read many other series of books with sooooo many characters that I honestly have lost track and found myself having to re-read in order to re-introduce myself to where that character came from. Like they show up on page 3 and then not again until page 450.
Not so with this series.
The character descriptions are as such that one does not forget an individual because they are all so 'individual in their own right.
This tome flowed nicely from start to finish, and to be honest I could not believe it ended as abruptly as it did. Yet not before completely setting you up with the knowledge of knowing there would indeed be a book four without ever stating as much.
It was strongly implied.
A great read...

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable story
This is the third instalment of the Land's End series. Sarah has had enough of her violent, bullying husband and finally decides to leave him. She runs away to Land's End, where her first cousin Sam lives. Hiding her identity at first, she eventually reveals who she is and why she is there.
But there is a killer on the loose, who keeps leaving the bodies of his past victims in public places for the police to find. And Sarah is being stalked.
I enjoyed the continuing saga of Sam's family - all of the characters from the other books are there, as well as some new ones. The story will keep you guessing almost until the end as to who the killer is.
