Promises In Stone Kindle Edition
Prom night is said to be a magical night in the life of a high school student. For some it is a night of dreams that come true, while others would rather forget the night exists. For Bryce and Maycee it was the night that would change their lives forever.
A decade long family feud, forbidden love, and an unselfish sacrifice, make up this story that rivals a Shakespearean play.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2015I instantly fell under a "Love Spell" ~ This is such an amazing and well written book! I usually don't read very many "romance" books, but when I read the description about this book I thought it sounded like a good read. Was I ever in for a surprise,,,, this book is a Love story like no other! The heartache, the love of a sister and two families that would never be the same-after a night that is supposed to be remembered for a lifetime. It IS remembered for what seems a lifetime-but it also reminds you that life and love can triumph over tragedy. This is a book that WILL remain on my device to read again and again. I will recommend this book to anyone,,,,,,,I look forward to reading more books by this amazing author!!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2018This story was so beautiful. I couldn't put it down. I absolutely adore Maycee and Bryce. What a wonderful combination of personalities. The storyline was so intriguing, I wasn't sure what was going to happen next. Of course I was brought to tears, which just goes to show that a strong connection was made with these characters. Amy has done it once again! She has such an amazing talent and I have not read a book by her that I haven't fallen in love with. She is my favorite author and I am pleased to call her a friend.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2015***I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.***
So this story was very simple and cute, and I liked that. It was nice to see the evolution of Maycee and Rylynn together as a family.
Most of the time it was so frustrating as a reader to read about how these families are feuding but I'm sure if god forbid I was ever in that type situation it would of course be different so I can't fault them too much, it was just extremely annoying how they were so negative towards the other, especially when they had such history.
Bryce was a great character for Maycee and Rylynn. He was the "perfect" guy. :)
Because this was such a short story, sometimes I have trouble with pacing, and this book was no exception. Sometimes I felt it would jump a little from scene to scene and although it didn't take away overall from the feelings or story, I feel like some parts should have been savored and enjoyed a little more. Additionally for this reason, I also felt like some parts were left out and left to the imagination because we were trying so quickly to get somewhere else.
Critique aside, it was a cute, goodhearted story and I enjoyed it. 3 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2015Promises in Stone is truly a great, wonderful book. In a way, it is like Romeo and Juliet. I absolutely LOVED it! I fell in love with Maycee and Bryce from the beginning. It held my attention the entire time I read it, which was about two hours. I tried to put it down to sleep and couldn’t sleep until I read more. That “more” turned into the rest of the book. The ending was probably one of my favorite parts of the story, even though it is hard to just pick one part that was the best as the entire book was amazing. It is rare for me to actually cry when there is an HEA, but apparently not this time.
Amy McClung’s books are some of the best books I’ve ever picked up. I totally recommend reading this fantastic book, along with all of her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2015A short and sweet love story of true love at it's finest. "Juliet" (Maycee) and "Romeo" (Bryce) had a hard time during their love affair considering their families hated each other after a terrible accident that had happened. By an interfering parent they were separated for a number years which they both tried to move on but could not. By posting messages, "Romeo" made sure his "Juliet" didn't forget his love, so sweet.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2015This was a great book. They hAve some kind of tragic event that separates every one. When you get a second chance you take it. But can they there family is still fighting. We I am glad this book doesn't end up like Romeo and Juliet. And her sister makes a change in her lifer for the better. Love this author this is my first book I have read of hers
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2016I love a good Romeo and Juliet story and this author did not disappoint! Even though the story is very emotional, I couldn't help but read the next page and then the next. This is a must read!!
