AlTonya Washington has been an author for over 20 years. Traditional, indie, and scholarly published, she's won the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award, and is a two-time winner of The Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award.

She's a Librarian and enjoys writing in genres such as Historical, Fantasy Romance, and Interracial Romantic Suspense. Her pen names include Ally Fleming, T. Onyx, and Temple Carver. She's best known for her long-running Ramsey/Tesano multicultural romantic suspense series. In 2024, she started a new Novella series entitled "Not By Blood."

    The books were great. However, I would have preferred starting with the elders and then each person's story. It's just weird that after all the books you end with the elders and then the next book is Quaysar and Tykira. We've already heard about them. I like to hear the stories in order.

    I enjoyed this book very much, although the twists and turns started to become a little frustrating. I can’t imagine how it would have felt if I had purchased it story by story.
