Caiphus knows that much of Bill’s reluctance to give into what they both want has to do with the fact that he’s not only her colleague, but also her boss. In his capacity as head of Vestige, Caiphus has often found himself in a position to wield his considerable influence for the purposes of making sure that Bill’s risky job never becomes too risky. His interference on that regard has placed him on the losing end of her affections more than once. Through it all, her love for him as remained. AlTonya Washington has been an author for over 20 years. Traditional, indie, and scholarly published, she's won the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award, and is a two-time winner of The Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award.

She's a Librarian and enjoys writing in genres such as Historical, Fantasy Romance, and Interracial Romantic Suspense. Her pen names include Ally Fleming, T. Onyx, and Temple Carver. She's best known for her long-running Ramsey/Tesano multicultural romantic suspense series. In 2024, she started a new Novella series entitled "Not By Blood."

    Altonya Washington continues the Ramsey/Tesano Series with "A Lover's Control" Sybilla and Caiphus's story. If many thought Marcus was the devil reincarnated, wait until you read a couple of chapters of Evangeline and her sidekick Maeva Leer! But, oh the strength and power forged and solidified by the Love between Sybilla and Caiphus. Like all the other couples in Ms Washington's Ramsey/Tesano series, the love of their women is uncomparable to anything in this world...their love is infinite. Many questions are answered in this book, as well as the reality that this series is quickly coming to an end. "A Lover's Control" also brilliantly deals with the social issue of a woman's confidence in a man's world (workplace). With Sybilla being the smallest of the Ramsey cousins, she worked the hardest to be accepted in all areas of her life, and it is her determination to prove her worth and success that could cost her her life...but to find out the answer to that, you must read this fantastic and outstanding story..."A Lover's Control" by Altinya Washington!!!     All of this AWESOMENESS wrapped up in a book!!! I am so in love with this series that I go into withdrawals waiting on the next one to come out. Altonya is truly a gifted writer and all of her works are phenomenal. You must start the series off from the beginning in order to grasp the full on hotness!

    Caiphus Tesano and SyBilla Ramsey are a match made in heaven by way of family drama. As with any male member of the Ramsey/Tesano family, the overprotective nature is in full force. I highly recommend this book and all of the books in this series, you will not be disappointed.

    Good read. I LOVE the characters, the writing is EXCELLENT. HOWEVER, I spent more time going back to previous titles trying to research and find out exactly what happened BEFORE this title. Very annoying! Seems as though there's quite a bit of time between the novels being put out. Kinda hard to keep up with what's going on. Otherwise, it was a pretty good book (as usual).

    I have been waiting for this book for a long long time and it did not disappoint. A lot of questions were answered and I still have a few. I love Caiaphas and Sybille story especially when he told her that he was not waiting any longer for them to be together. The twist and turns were well written and the surprises were awesome.I read the novella Vestige so I had an idea about Sybilla's kidnapping but the thought of that psycho being the boss of all bosses never crossed my mind. That was a nice twist because all along I thought it was one of the Tesanos. The disclosure of the person who is really calling the shots regarding all that mess that took place on Black Island was a complete shock and the fact that one of the girls from Evangeline crew was his daughter was surprising. I was completely sold on the fact that Maeve was mentally challenged but the twist that Altonya wrote to that storyline was awesome. The older Tesano brothers have no qualms about killing each other my God such evil. I really enjoyed catching up with the rest of the family members. I cant wait for Hill's book it should be a dozy

    I would say this book is worth your time, the characters are full of life. Although it answers much needed questions it gives much more in the arena of brand new ones.     I am so intrigued by Altonya's ability to have a story with so many parts without it being repetitive and bogged down. The introduction of characters you've only heard about and new characters kept the book fresh while visiting familiar characters. All in All it was a great read and I can't wait for the next and last installment
