Persephone James had a brilliant mind.     This was a wonderful book and great ending to the best series I've read in a while. Its hard to write a review because the book itself is a final chapter for the remaining Tesano brother, but it's also the end of the series that has had twists, turns, surprises, and laughter.

    This book follows the connection between Hilliam and Persephone James. They have history from "Black Island" and while everyone is trying to connect and dismantle the evil organization and its owners, Seph has some news she needs to share with Hill and his response to it may be a make it or break it for their future. Seph (admittedly) has a habit of rushing into things without giving it complete thought. She continues to do so in this book and creates additional issues for herself in doing so. Hill on the other hand needs and wants to feel that Seph believes in him and that he can protect and care for her. This book delves into both of them finding their way not only back to each other, but in the face of danger while they take down one of the most dangerous groups they've ever encountered. There will be surprise revelations, heartwarming reunions and acts of forgiveness, the fights and arguments between husbands and wives, the inevitable shocking demise and/ or reemergence of enemies and friends alike. The babies, and babies and more babies alone is worth reading this wonderful book.
    In theory, you can read this book alone, however, there are many characters and storylines that have continued through the series that may be difficult to follow if you're not familiar with the series.
    Altonya Washington did a wonderful job pulling the series together and weaving a finale that left us swooning and sad for more.

    Let me start off by saying that Altonya Washington did her thing with this book. There is so much talent packed into this author. This book is simply AWESOME. I followed this series due to the engaging dynamics of the characters, the well thought out plots, the feeling of being inside of this story line, the HOTNESS Sef and Hill leads you to need a tall glass of ice water and the overall depth of the story. This one does not disappoint.

    Let me start off by saying there were so many OMG moments that I was literally on the edge of my seat. Persephone James and Hilliam Tesano are a match made in heaven. They have been through so much over the lifetime of their relationship. After being separated, these two find their way back to each other and let me tell you, the sparks fly (literally). You also get a chance to catch up with the characters from previous books in the series and even get a few surprise players in the game.

    A Lover’s Return is an excellent ending to an AMAZINGLY AMAZING series. You will do yourself a disservice if you don’t pick it up. If you haven’t read the books in the series, please start from book one, A Lover’s Dream, they need to be read in order. Because it is the end, it’s bittersweet, but well worth the purchase. BRAVO Altonya!!! Until next time… 10++++++ starts, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

    What a wonderful series. Thank you so much for not dumbing down this series. The complexity of characters and relationships was phenomenal. I loved that readers had to take the time to piece the relationships together. If you haven't read the previous books, it's difficult to appreciate the the nuances of some of the revelations.

    It is well worth the time. I was astounded that Hill understood and forgave Perry for her big reveal.This book revealed all the secrets and then some. This wrap up was so intense and so full bodied.

    I love that this book and series was generational. It reminds us that those before us have a great effect on us and our children. I'm not doing justice to just how sweeping in scope this book was. There was sadness, laughter, suspense and great family bonding. I recommend this entire series. Ms. Washington, I have enjoyed your writing for years. This book was confirmation for me why whenever, I see your name on a book, I don't hesitate to buy it.

    There are a few writers like you, Brenda Jackson and Francis Ray that I really really appreciate because your writings set the standard for writers to come.
