About the Author

AlTonya Washington has been a published romance novelist for 6 years. Her novel Finding Love Again won the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Multicultural Romance 2004. In July 2008, the South Carolina native released her twelfth novel A Lover's Worth. August 2009 marked the release of her thirteenth and fourteenth novels: Rival's Desire and Passion's Furies. In addition to teaching a community college course entitled Writing the Romance Novel she works as a Senior Library Assistant and resides in North Carolina. AlTonya will release her fifteenth novel Hudson's Crossing in March 2009. In March 2009, AlTonya- writing as T. Onyx- released an electronic version of her debut erotica title Truth In Sensuality. In August 2009 she will release her debut audio title Another Love and the final installment in her Ramsey series A Lover's Soul. Her latest release with the Harlequin/Kimani label is the January 2010 release "The Doctor's Private Visit"

AlTonya Washington has been an author for over 20 years. Traditional, indie, and scholarly published, she's won the Romance Slam Jam EMMA Award, and is a two-time winner of The Romantic Times Magazine Reviewer's Choice Award.

She's a Librarian and enjoys writing in genres such as Historical, Fantasy Romance, and Interracial Romantic Suspense. Her pen names include Ally Fleming, T. Onyx, and Temple Carver. She's best known for her long-running Ramsey/Tesano multicultural romantic suspense series. In 2024, she started a new Novella series entitled "Not By Blood."

    Just when I thought Altonya's Ramsey Series could not get any better; The Book of Scandal makes its debut and blows me out of the water! This book is a fabulous and outstanding read. A Lover's Worth - Book V, was my first Altonya's Ramsey book, and I have been addicted ever since. I searched high and low to get every book in this series...regardless of the cost, and it has been well worth the journey, and then some!

    Book of Scandal will answer almost every question you may have and will leave you salivating for more. WOW!!     If you are an Altonya Washington Ramsey's reader then this book is just want we have been waiting on. If you follow the Ramsey's this book takes us back to when the sibling was young. Each Ramsey book leave you with question and this book is no different but it is so good. We learn a more about Westin & Brie, Marcus & Josephine, Houston & Daphne (you all are going to be so surprise about Daphne background), Damon & Catrina. Now those sisters Georgia & Carmen you will learn of there heartache as well.

    There is so much that can be said but then I would be giving away the book so you will just have to read and hit Altonya with your questions because if you are like me once I was done reading I email Altonya.................

    Fun book and fun read, you are going to love I can't wait for the next installment.

    I absolutely loved this book. It answered a lot of questions for me but it also left me with even more as Altonya's books always does. Now I know why some of the Ramseys are the way that they are. I was a great book and very well written. You can read this book first or last, but you need to read the previous 7 Ramsey books to get the full understanding of this family. Ramsey series lovers know what I'm talking about. Great book!!!     Such a good story. I knew the Ramsey family had secrets that was not to be said out loud, but damn! That Marcus! I can't stand him . Terrible is not the word. I did not stop reading until I was finished. A real page turner! I had been meaning to buy this book, so glad I finally did. Trying to decide which one to read next.
