The close of a large drug case marks the opening of a story laced with danger, enveloped in mystery and fringed by a sweltering attraction.     Great introduction into the hotness that is Caiphus Tesano and Sybilla Ramsey. I love these two. This book tells the backstory of the Vestige agency and sets the tone for the next Ramsey/Tesano story to take place. Some revelations come to light and it's great to see how they will come into play.

    For a short story, the plot is AWESOME, The character interaction is AMAZING and the flow of the story is AWESOME. Altonya Washington is a great writer and this series keeps me interested and wanting more. 5 plus stars, get your copy!

    I loved this little teaser which gave us some information and history about Bill and Chaipus. I can't wait to read the full story on these two. I must say I was left with more questions than answers but that is to be expected with this author. Mrs. Washington loves to keep her readers on their toes and coming back for more. I can't wait to learn more about the careers of this two lovers and what the Ramsey family is hiding this time around. This was a quick, short read but still one I would recommend if you follow this series.

    I think this will be my last purchase of the Ramsey/Tesano series. First, the way the current stories are portrayed, the romance is pretty much non existent. Don't get me wrong, there's some sex, but no romance. Ms. Washington is using her "soap opera" style of writing with her latest books. Jumping from scene to scene, describing physically what's going on, but not telling mentally or emotionally what's going on with the characters. This creates such a disconnect for me. It reminds me of when people say the movie wasn't as good as the book. Her books are starting to feel like the movies.

    This series has dragged on too long without a resolution. It has become tired. Even though in her mind she probably knows how she wants things to flow, the amount of time in between the books leave readers frustrated instead of enthralled.

    This book was short and sweet. If you liked the other books, this will tide you over until the next one. WARNING! This book will leave you stunned and wanting more. I only wish she had developed Sybella and Ciaphus's relationship a bit more. I guess that will come in later books. Must read!
